The shear audacity.
The Secret Service apologized to a salon owner in Massachusetts who alleged that individuals broke into her business to use the bathroom during the agency’s security work for a nearby Veep Kamala Harris fundraiser.
Berkshires businesswoman Alicia Powers says someone picked the lock and broke into her store for the bathroom — after a Secret Service officer covered a camera outside her salon with tape.
The people who proceeded to use the bathroom included a pair in emergency medical uniforms, a person in camouflage law-enforcement gear and someone in a dark suit and white shirt similar to a Secret Service officer who guarded the door, Powers said, citing footage.
A Secret Service rep was adamant that agents would not break into buildings like that — but did not deny that an officer covered her camera with tape, an act that was captured by surveillance footage, and appeared to cop some sort of mea culpa in a statement.
“The Secret Service has since communicated with the affected business owner. We hold these relationships in the highest regard and our personnel would not enter, or instruct our partners to enter, a business without the owner’s permission,” Secret Service spokesperson Melissa McKenzie said.
Powers said the head of the Secret Service’s Boston-based field office called her to apologize, according to Business Insider.
“He said to me everything that was done was done very wrong,” Powers told the outlet. “They were not supposed to tape my camera without permission. They were not supposed to enter the building without permission.”
The shop owner, who owns Four One Three Salon in Pittsfield, said the incident took place July 27, before Harris’ first major in-person fundraiser since President Biden dropped out of...

She should hire a good Third Amendment lawyer.
the ONLY appropriate apology from government is a LARGE check. good luck.
Don’t worry lady, ALL of our taxpayers will pay for this.
This must be in their employee handbook.
Lady, take down all of your “Vote for Harris” signs.
I hope they gave the owner a can of Lysol.
Can we stop pretending there’s anything noble about this branch (or any) branch of the DHS?
Or three First Amendment lawyers. I think...
Sounds like the Vice President reeeeally needed to tinkle...
PRESS CHARGES
What a crock, clearly everyone viewed on camera was involved. Feds are such weasels.
Now apologize to President Trump for assigning a bunch of short DEI hires to his detail.
Federal break-ins and disabling security systems merely to use someone’s bathroom?
This reveals people who are so far gone that they don’t even see boundaries and felonies anymore.
Another problem is that we are learning how unprepared the SS is for what is supposed to be their routine job they have been doing forever, it is like they are just learning how these things work, they don’t have a plan for relieving themselves?
>> the ONLY appropriate apology from government is a LARGE check
PLUS the immediate firing of every single SS that participated in any way whatsoever, including ordering or approving the action. This arrogant disregard for citizens’ basic rights at the hand of FedGov must stop!
“— after a Secret Service officer covered a camera outside her salon with tape.“
Who the hell do these people think they are!!!??
This is breaking and entering. That agent needs to be charged, fined, and fired.
Typical feds.....arrogant and above the law.
The lady should sue.
If I did what they did, I would be charged with breaking and entering. This happened because the Secret Service thinks they are above the law.
In Texas one would have the legal right to shoot the person breaking and entering as under Texas Law, the act of breaking in is considered a mortal threat. In Massachusetts not so, you would be charged with murder.
In Texas one can also use deadly force to prevent a thief from absconding with your property. I would not kill some stupid kid (I was one once) stealing gas or my lawnmower etc. Do not try to steal my beloved RAM 1500 gas guzzling pickup, hurt my wife or I nor kill my dog. I love my Texas!
This breaking and entering. Why is nobody being charged?
