The MiG-35, also known as the “Fulcrum-F,” is a modernized version of the MiG-29 designed as a “4++ generation” fighter.
First flown in 2016 and entering service in 2019, it features upgrades like an AESA radar, reduced radar signature, improved engines, and the ability to serve as a refueling tanker.
Despite these enhancements, the MiG-35 has struggled to find success, both domestically and internationally.

America’s F-35, the 71% sitting on the ground unable to fly just Sopwith Camels on steroids sitting there?
The dirty little MIC secret is that stealth isn’t. Every “stealth” aircraft can be seen, just at reduced distances, but still seen far enough away to be shot down.
That is a nice looking jet as it looks a lot like an F-15.
First, it’s no secret that ‘stealth’ just reduces return signature to something below threshold detection for the system it is s designed to defeat. Thats just physics and nothing to do with MIC insinuations.
Secondly, like many weapon systems, their useful life is limited to the time it takes to developed defense against it. Thus always the pursuit of the next new thing or upgrade, and the desire to keep the new thing under wraps until it’s needed. The F117 for example was highly successful in Desert Storm, but retired afterwards as its capabilities became known and could be countered.
Russian military aircraft are few in number and would not last long against the US in combat. Even now, Ukraine’s air defenses suffice to keep Russian aircraft out of Ukrainian airspace.
My rule of thumb is if it looks good, it probably is.
The new weapons should be unmanned strike weapons. Cheaper to build and could be of much higher performance capability due to the fact that no onboard human pilot is required.
Close copy of the F-15.
Depends on the definition of 'looks good'. The A-10 isn't pretty, Same for the C-130. The B-58 looked better than the B-52, but compare utility in 2024.
Looks more like an F-14 Tomcat
Gets my vote.
Nice Grouping !!!
They only work as long as Russia can get Western parts. Which are few and far between - they have to rely on Chinese to supply them with parts which may or may not work.
No Variable Swing Wings.

My guess is that due to sanctions and Russia's heavy cost for their Ukraine war, they will be far behind in these developments.
The fighter is just a platform, the AA missiles it carries has our Pentagon scared. A recent Ukie jet was downed by a Russian AA at least 200 miles, the Ukie pilot stated he never saw it coming.
The Pentagon is aware, but thus far has been unable to confirm Vlads new missile’s capabilities.
Jon, you silly savage
You look fabulous in that vid!
