Should make an interesting debate question
“ what actions will you take as President when Iran becomes a nuclear power? First, Kamala…’
“Graham is nuts. I’m no peacenik, but isn’t this in fact a declaration of war? This is just what we DON’T need right now. Our leadership is questionable, at best, and our military is currently incapable of being what it was 20 years ago.
McConnell and Johnson should not entertain this nonsense.”
Absolutely right on the money. Prudence and common sense is not being a peacenik. It is logical and rational.
I just sent letters to my two senators to vote no. We do not need more pro-war rhetoric at this time.
Trump, if he wins, will have monumental tasks ahead of him.
But at the same time, in more than the last 2 decades, we have been told that Iran is only a year away from having nukes,,,,,,just sayin’
“What is Lindsey thinking giving such authorization/power to Biden?”
Exactly right and good question. This legally opens the door for a declaration of Martial Law. This is bigger and more serious than most might realize. They can use Martial Law to suspend the election.
Gonna go looking for WMD again? In a ground war, Iran is a tough nut to crack, due to mountainous terrain. If they already have nuclear bombs, the idea of a preemptive war is off the table.
Dems are what happened when Naive and Stupid met at a honkytonk and got drunk together.
Sadly, I think you are correct.
Correct. Notice the strong correlation with losing?
Congress (and only Congress) declares war BECAUSE war is a joint action of the People (House) and the States (Senate). The President is the Commander in Chief of the Army and the Navy, not of the States and not of the People.
The so-called "war powers act" is obviously unconstitutional, since 1) it delegates a non-delegable power to a hired hand (the President) and 2) It lets Congress escape responsibility for its own actions when things go bad (Tonkin Gulf Resolution - Vietnam, AUMF Iraq, etc).
This is how it was done, correctly, for the last war we won:
"That the state of war between the United States and the Imperial Government of Japan which has thus been thrust upon the United States is hereby formally declared; and the President is hereby authorized and directed to employ the entire naval and military forces of the United States and the resources of the Government to carry on war against the Imperial Government of Japan; and, to bring the conflict to a successful termination, all the resources of the country are hereby pledged by the Congress of the United States.
"The President is DIRECTED" - "to use the entire naval and military forces" - "and the resources of the Government" - '[to win the war"] - "ALL THE RESOURCES OF THE COUNTRY ARE...PLEDGED BY THE CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES".
It's not too late to turn back from the current insanity. Neither the People, nor the States, are at war with Russia, or Iran, or China. Only the unelected and non-representative Deep State is. But the hour grows short
That’s the way I understood it.
Well we just sent a bunch more and so did Russia
No I don’t think the election will be suspended, the election is the distraction. So the question becomes and remains who is running the country?
Ping
Yeah I hope to get a few more things in place before all these things really get going.
It’s truly sheep 🐑 among wolves 🤯🤯🤯 these days.

Wait. I thought Iran promised, promised I tell you, they’d stop work on nuclear weapons in return for Obama giving them a few zillion dollars of U.S. taxpayer money. And the New York Times praised the great Obama for saving us all from those dastardly Republicans.
With Biden/Harris/Whoever is in charge of our country, I think for this when situations like this arise:
Admiral Josh Painter:
This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we’ll be lucky to live through it.
The Hunt for Red October
GOD HELP THE USA!
oh great
We are at war with Russia, Iran, where else?
filibuster any of this warmonger crap from Lindsay.
Don’t give dementia joe any ideas.
