Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro (D), who previously served as that state's Attorney General, is reportedly on Kamala Harris's shortlist for her running mate. Shapiro would seem to bring some significant things to the table: executive experience, popularity in a key swing state, and support from unions.
But progressive groups are nevertheless warning Harris away from Shapiro.
One letter signed by nearly 50 progressive leaders pointed to Shapiro’s “shortcomings as a national candidate” and urged the vice president to consider Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear (D) and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) instead.
“With the compressed timeline ahead of us to defeat the Trump-Vance-MAGA threat, we simply cannot afford any setbacks,” the letter said.
A letter from another progressive group, known as “VP Unity,” said Harris’s consideration of Shapiro has “set off alarm bells” among young voters, Muslims, Arab Americans and activists.
Take a look at those categories. "...young voters, Muslims, Arab Americans, and activists."
From this, we can conclude with reasonable certainty that the "young voters" and "activists" are those who either conducted or are in sympathy with those who held "peaceful protests" in favor of wiping out Israel on college campuses across the country. And were we to draw one of Kamala Harris's beloved Venn diagrams of "Muslims" and "Arab Americans," there would likely be an almost complete overlap.
The quiet part they aren't saying out loud? Governor Shapiro is Jewish. And he supports Israel, although he has been critical of Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Not necessarily. Is Shapiro a practicing Jew or secular? I'll go with secular because he's a politician, and the Muslim faction knows Jewish Dems are mainly JINO. That is, they will put the Dem Party Line ahead of any "religious" affiliation.
“Maybe she’s confident that she’ll win Michigan without the Muslim voters “
Quite likely, and this whole article is just gaslighting hopium.
Shapiro is obviously the smartest pick they could make. And don’t bother worrying that whatever minor “scandal” Shapiro was supposedly involved in will hurt him one bit. He’ll get exactly the same coronation treatment from the media that Queen Kamala is getting.
He locks up PA for the Democrats for sure and the whole idea that Muzzies control Michigan and will abandon their fellow Muzzie (she might as well be one) just because “oh noes, the veep is a JOO!” is asinine. Even if they do abandon the Democrats, which isn’t likely, it isn’t likely to be in sufficient number to cost the Queen anything.
With PA in the bag, the Dems don’t really NEED Michigan anymore (though Trump absolutely would), but believing that Shapiro *automatically* hands Michigan to Trump is baseless.
At Polymarket, Shapiro has gone way into the lead.
I think if he’s on the ticket it will cause a lot of problems for the Democrats and among ever increasing legions of anti-Semites. Personally, I think the only one of the four you mentioned that has a shot at being president might be Beshear and I seriously doubt he would be able to add Kentucky to the win column for the Democrats. The bigger problem is you have a weak candidate at the top of the ticket. Would the Democrats switch out Harris for another nominee at the last minute?
> She’s going for Casey Jr. <
Yes, the Casey name will help in Pennsylvania. But he’s a slug. Casey sounds and acts like just a minute earlier he got hit hard in the head.
I can’t believe Casey would help anywhere outside of his home state.
I don’t see any evidence of that.
Yet polls show that Jill Stein is polling very well with Arabs.
Jill Stein Leads Kamala Harris with Arab American Voters by 18 Points
With the compressed timeline ahead of us to defeat the Trump-Vance-MAGA threat...
They sure are afraid of making America great again.
Fetterman and Shapiro are velcroed at the hip— and pretty certain Fetterman can’t stand either obama or ka-ma-la. Just a thought. But Shapiro is a disaster except for the massive truckload steal. Progressives speak what they fear- and they are all anti-semitics of every stripe.
Trump tends towards doing things in his own unique idiosyncratic way. Where Reagan chose to unify the party by picking the #2 in the primary as his VP, Trump has decided he doesn’t need the votes of the other factions, that they will back him in the general, even as he praises those among his paid boosters who continue sniping at the runners-up in the primary. If he loses the election, the defining moment will have be at the point when he chose Vance instead of one of the two runners-up. Those factions are real and their hostility to the primary winner isn’t unique to Trump, which is why even an eventual landslide winner like Reagan felt he had to throw them a bone.
Commie Harris will accept whoever Pelosi, Shoomer, and Obama tell her the pick is going to be.
I wonder if New Jersey and New Hampshire are that good bit riper for picking for Trump this time out.
No real reason to presume picking Shapiro adds 5% to PA vote totals.
Their overall problem is the loss of black males in Philly doesn’t have an answer. Simply that. 28% vs 8% in 2020. Blacks don’t think Jew vs non Jew.
Foxtrot, Charlie, Harridan
Mooslims in Detroit will not stuff ballot boxes for jewish people— the place has dramatically turned into a near nationstate of islamofascism, mixed with the cartels very scary place.
We have definitely gone backward. In 2000 Joe Lieberman was the VP candidate. I do not remember any anti-sematic issues.
Casey would be good pick as he is an idiot and may make the Anchorbaby look better in comparison.
Harris should pick Hochul as her VP ... that way we would have a Wicked Queen of the West and a Wicked Queen of the East as rulers.
>> Pick Walz. Please!
You’re cruel... and I like the way you think! 👍🏻😂
