Battleground State Democrats Still Back Biden Despite Age Concerns: Poll
Newsweek via MSN ^ | 07/21/24 | Joe Edwards

Posted on 07/21/2024 9:53:13 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

The vast majority of Democratic voters still intend to vote for President Joe Biden despite concerns over his age, according to a recent poll of battleground states.

Amid mounting concerns about Biden's age and growing pressure from prominent members of the Democratic Party to get the president to not seek re-election, a breakdown of YouGov polling data provided to Newsweek revealed that in seven key states, between 69 percent and 86 percent of Democratic voters who felt Biden was too old to serve another term as president, said they would still vote for him.

YouGov provided Newsweek with the cross tabulation data on respondents' presidential voting intent by party identification, filtered via those who said "yes" in response to the question: Is Biden too old to be President? The small unweighted sample size for that cross tab in each state was as follows:

Arizona: 142 respondents who identified as Democrats out of a sample of 594, which included Republicans and Independents.

Georgia: 176 out of 639

Michigan: 205 out of 643

Nevada: 143 out of 481

North Carolina: 186 out of 648

Pennsylvania: 222 out of 641

Wisconsin: 163 out of 568

Overall, nearly 74 percent of Democrats across the seven states said they would vote for Biden despite saying he was too old to be president.

Yup—let us reword the survey question.

“Everybody knows Joe Biden is senile. Would you vote for him anyway?”

Lol.

Its not a matter of WHO they will vote for, its if they will get off their ass and vote for him. Huge difference. He has zero enthusiasm.

“Its not because of his age”

Or, the fact he has been an a-hole his whole life.

A nice straw man in the title. It’s not his age but his clear dementia that matters. Nevermind his dishonesty, depravity, and corruption.

Sure, Newsweak, it’s his age.

Do they not understand it’s not his age but his cognitive decline that is the issue? Biden barely knows where he is half the time. There are many people older than him who are still mentally sharp and who speak clearly. Biden is not one of them.

Michigan poll: Trump’s edge takes notable leap in battleground state

https://www.freep.com/story/news/politics/elections/2024/07/21/michigan-poll-trump-biden-polling/74468127007/

“Trump led in every region of the state, including in metro Detroit — defined as Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties and seen as the most predominantly Democratic region in Michigan — where he held a slim but remarkable 46%-44% edge in the head-to-head matchup with Biden and a 43%-38% margin in the five-way race.”

Republican and Independent voters combined far outweigh Democrat voters and Indies are overwhelmingly for Trump.

It’s funny that they’re spinning this as strength for Biden. Let’s say that “only” 20% of dems don’t vote for Biden. That means he drops from 80 million votes down to 64 million. Or another way to look at it, he loses every state he won last time my a margin of 20% or less! Landslide!

His dementia and the assassination attempt against Trump has gotten the Biden crime family’s business dealings out of the news.

Blank ballots and copy machines don’t need the enthusiasm of the Democrat masses.

Just a handful of their punks motivated by Zuckerbucks to “get out the vote”.

Joe represents his constituents well. They are as mentally damaged as he is.

They still wear masks in their car and think Putin sent Trump a magic ketchup packet that he used to fake the injury to his ear.

I don’t see any of the cheating gloom and doomers jumping in yet, so this: there is a margin of fraud, and it tops out around 5%. Not just in MI, but in most states, the rural areas will go for Trump by vast margins. The cities do the reverse and swamp the rural results. If the cities really are this tight, it’s goi g to be a (figurative) bloodbath up and down the ballot.
We’re just over 100 days. We can’t be complacent. We have to go after the fraud. But this could very well end up being an epic blow out

Agreed. Also, for this election, in areas such as Detroit they may not be able to find a sufficient number of needed foot-soldiers to pull off a successful steal.
