1 in 3 Democrats believe Trump faked assassination attempt. I talked to one

If some polls are to be believed, one in three Democrats think that Donald Trump faked his own assassination attempt. When I read that, I thought, could this possibly be true? But this weekend on my drive home to West Virginia from the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, I got the theory first hand. And it's a fascinating doozy.

Station Square Ristorante, just off of I-80 in Liberty, Ohio, is an absolute gem. Ottavio and Bridget Musumeci have somehow managed to create a legitimate fine-dining experience attached to the Super 8 motel. And no, I’m not kidding. In the wood-paneled bar, as I ordered oysters and antipasto for a late lunch, I met Mark, originally from northern New Jersey, which his accent revealed before he did. And Mark, well, he had some very interesting things to say.

As is my way, I turned the conversation to politics and the assassination came up.

"That whole thing was a setup," Mark told me.

Before I could even respond, John, the bartender, who I would learn doesn’t like Trump or Biden, said, "Nah, two people are dead. No way."

Mark’s response was, "this is Donald Trump, he’s capable of anything."

Hitting an ear of moving head, without the risk of killing that person - that would be a shot worth Olympic gold medal.
Not even the world best would ever attempt that kind of shot!

Those deniers obviously watched a lot of movies, but never shot anything!

I saw someone on another thread that discussed how Trump was trolling the Leftists with his choice of music at the RNC before he came on stage that could be interpreted as Trump signaling he would be happy murdering all of his enemies and destroying the world. (The music was a majestic aria used in the movie "The Sum of All Fears". You can hear a version of it LINK: "Nessun Dorma")

The line that gives the author away was: "...Trump often claims to be a victim of the deep state or the swamp, and he promises to drain the swamp if elected..."

This is a case of someone who buys into whatever they hear (the person who grabbed this and swallowed the premise of the author's crap."

Or the author could just be a crappy writer. Just because the music was used in a movie as a backdrop for violence the author assumes the violence is the entire point. Well, the author is unwilling to see that Trump was a victim of the Deep State or The Swamp, but is wholly willing to conjure up imagery that Trump wants to kill everyone he thinks persecuted him.

For what t is worth, here are the lyrics. I think it was chosen because of the last two lines of the lyrics, not because it was in some grade-b movie set to a violent scene:

There is a simple explanation for this mindset in this 1/3 of the Dems.

As I wrote elsewhere, there is a popular theoretical question - "would you have killed Hitler in the 1930s if you knew what was to come?" Many people answer "yes."

True, we haven't perfected time travel. But then 2020 came along.

I believe many on the left feel the same way about Trump - AND have a hyper (and delusional) elevated sense of their self. Lacking a time machine, the 2020-equivalent question was "would you steal the election by whatever means, to remove Trump from office? Because, ya know, he's Hitler."

We are seeing their "yes" right now with the assassination attempt. Indeed, we have seen it for years. 2020 was a de facto going back in time to kill Hitler. They high-fived each other and BELIEVED they were The Resistance incarnate.

This new dogma - "anything goes if we are morally justified" is an extension of this article:

If Trump retired after 2020 it’d sort of end there. Exceeeeeeept, Trump didn’t slink away. He’s as alive as ever. Relatedly, many people who didn’t take the Covid shots (or did so under duress and spoke out against it), highlighted the Big Media collusion with the Admin, reject the pro-Hamas bromides from the Ivy League protesters, point to porous borders as a problem, reject schools telling Johnny it’s ok to wear lipstick but not white after Labor Day, and work for a living, are guilty by extension to these Lost Souls.

NOW, with Biden now being rejected by the gaslighting/enabling Superiors of the Lost Souls, and Trump almost getting killed, what are these self-glorified Nazi-Resistance wannabes (as if….a late father of a family friend fought actual Nazis in Poland; these leftists can’t shine their shoes) gonna do?

Check out what happens to followers of the charlatans who say “Jesus is coming back this day” and nothing happens…they double-down rather than accept that they’ve allowed themselves to be a puppet.

I've written in the past about the extreme left, with specific regard to THEM (not us) being the "white racists". It would also appear, they’re Nutters and Butler Deniers ore per mmichaels1970 , Assassination Deniers.

The far left progressives are actually lily white. Nearly seven-in-ten Progressive Left (68%) are White adults, making this group less racially and ethnically diverse than the other Democratic-oriented groups.

No, they shoot them in the leg so they can’t run away. But, I’ve seen some one post that PDJT had a red paint ball in his pocket that he popped on the side of his head when he hit the ground. So do these people think Trump stood there and let the shooter shoot him, trusting that it would only pierce his ear? Or did he have a catsup packet hidden in his ear?

Those Secret Service people who piled on top of Trump, were they in on it? The doctor who treated Trump right afterwards, was he in on it? Ronny Jackson must be in on it, too, since he has made a statement about the injury and is still treating Trump.

That’s an awful lot of people who might squeal and reveal a big scandal that would totally ruin Trump. But I guess when you hate Trump that badly, and the incident has only made Trump more popular, you’ll believe whatever you want.
