BETHEL PARK, Pa. – Thomas Matthew Crooks, the 20-year-old would-be assassin who opened fire on former President Donald Trump's Pennsylvania campaign rally Saturday, hid the weapon in advance, according to a Secret Service source.
It was not immediately clear where he hid it, however. By the time agents spotted him on the roof, he was already holding it.
"We went from golf range finder to AR-15, and now we have to fill in the gap," the source told Fox News

Yes, he took a chance. He only lives 40 miles from there. He did a trial run through and thought “that’s the spot and I will shoot from there if left unguarded”. Either that or it was an inside job. Are we ready to go there yet?

He was a VIP at the rally and allowed to do whatever he pleased. He was the Belle of the Ball.
Check the pings on his cell phones to find out the times and dates of his previous visits.

If you breakdown an AR the longest piece is the barrel and upper receiver. That’s a minimum of 24” long, and more likely 26”. Either will fit in a backpack.
And some people saw him carrying a rifle.

There’s Video of him doing exactly opposite of everyone there. He stood out like a sore thumb.
They took pictures of him after they saw him looking up at the roof when he was right up against the building. That was 30 minutes before the shooting.
He was VIP material. They did nothing!
If I held an elected office to congress as a Republican, I’d be DEMANDING an appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate.
EVERY single local, state, and federal gubmint official on site and every one that was involved off site should be put under oath and questioned and put on the public record.

Congress and ONLY congress has the authority to appoint a special counsel despite the ruling of an appellate court which oversees the DC swamp.
My understanding is Justice Thomas signaled to Judge Cannon in Florida that any appointment of special counselor by any branch other that the legislative was unconstitutional.
The Democrats WEAPONIZED the appointment of a special counsel in the DC swamp to engage in lawfare against Trump.
For congress to appoint a special counsel to investigate is the perfect situation for appointing a special counsel.
The life of an innocent law abiding citizen was lost do the inactions of an agency of the federal gubmint, not to mention the near assassination of a presidential candidate who has been a target of EVERY kind of weapon both non-lethal and now lethal.
Those three clown senators can put on show and make some news by screaming at the Cheeto lady.
But an investigation is order, not by impotent all talk and no action posers like Jimmy Jordan, but by an independent prosecutor CONSTITUTIONALLY appointed by the legislative branch.
Mike Johnson needs to grow a pair and lead.
Someone in the congressional Republican caucus needs to lead.
It is not up to Trump to call for a special prosecutor but his party.
Supposedly Mikey is going to call for some kind of congressional task force.

I think Crooks was just as astonished as we are now that the roof had no one posted on it. He was a sniper of opportunity. Either that it was an inside job. We ready to go there?
The snipers that were supposed to be on the roof probably held the rifle for him until he got there.
