well, with all the big events happening in Butler, PA, it must have been hard to guess what.
Did the alleged assassin call his dad before the shooting? Is it possible that is what caused dad to call 911?
I don’t think that would fly, unless they knew what he was going to do.
Anyway, he could have bought his own gun.
Is this true? I missed that part in all of the reports so far, not that the MSM would willingly release this information. They are hell-bent on protecting the parents of a young man who almost assassinated Trump.
The kid was a beta dork loser. Comes from upbringing. His parents are probably losers, too.
Had read days ago that the son told his dad that he would be going to the range and will be back later..so why would the father be concerned that his rifle is missing..he took it to the range

He might have called to give a goodbye. His dad knows he is messed up in the head..worries about suicide.
Or depending on what he knew or suspected could have worried about that Trump rally

I would guess it’s possible dad called 911 due to his son telling him his plans from the rally venue...Saying his last goodbye etc...

yourdonefor_wt • 2d ago I have a possible motive. I'm leaning towards mental health but on the father for the blame. I was friends with his sister in middle school. She regularly told me that her dad refused medication for her because "You need to learn how to manage your problems by yourself"

Good post. Eliminates a lot of speculation. Adds some others.
And the idea that the roof was not secured because it was sloped is asinine. Even if that were true, then they would have completely restricted access to that building. No one would have been in, near or on it.
Even in the old show West Wing, the Secret Service guy said “I would never let you, not let me protect the President. We can always figure something out.”
The Director should be fired, if she won’t resign.
Releasing the alleged 911 call/calls would end all speculation regarding dad calling 911.
They have the alleged dead suspect, there are no more victims and the event is about 5 days old now.
The ONLY reason I can think of for not releasing the alleged 911 calls at this point would be if there was another person involved.
I don’t know if some of those commenting here realize what a slippery slope we’d go down, to suggest holding parents to blame for an adult son’s behavior. So many people seem willing to go there before they have any real proof that the parents realized what the son was about.
Not just because he was missing: He was missing along with one of the father's automatic rifles.
