People aren’t aware to what degree the liberals have pushed “juvenile rights” to the point that police and educators risk prosecution for taking action.

This has happened mostly for “racial justice” reasons.

It used to be kids making violent threats were removed in a hurry, but I gather that pendulum has swung the other way.

Wow. This blows apart the sanitized version we’ve gotten of Crooks upt to now, if what this guy says is true - especially about threats being made at the school and then Crooks being gone the next few days after the threat, and suspicions that it was Crooks who had made the threats, and then Crooks changing to not be so confrontational about politics when he disagreed with others.

The stories/claims have varied so wildly, there’s got to be narrative-setting going on.

Did staff have any idea? Kids usually don’t ‘tell’ on each other. It’s the kids’ code.

Many years ago, I had my 8th graders tell me about how the year before ‘Detritus’ (not his real name, but close) had brought a gun to school and was pointing it at the 7th grade teacher while she was writing on the chalkboard. Everyone in the class saw him do it more than once, and none of them said a word to any adult until they told me the next year. He had since moved out of state; he had a reputation in the neighborhood of threatening kids with guns, so they may have kept quiet out of fear.

If Crooks did in fact threaten to shoot up the school, even if in jest, it makes complete sense of an interview I watched on YouTube yesterday. A young man who was a year ahead in school and lives on the same street was interviewed. He made the off hand comment “it’s really scary because he could have chosen to carry out something else. You know, taken a different route to carry out whatever he’s trying to prove “.

Ok. If your goal is to take out Trump there IS no other route to something else. It’s take out the target. The whatever he’s trying to prove was also odd.

Finally, four days after the “registered Republican” story has had time to sink in, after the claim that the shooter appeared to be non-political has set in, after Newsweek has told us the shooter’s family had pro-Trump signs in the yard, we hear from an acquaintance who reports that the shooter hated Trump, even suggesting that the shooter and his small group of friends had threatened the school.

I guess it depends on how much the kids like the teacher. In my school, I didn’t see it, but a Jr. high student pulled a knife on a female teacher and one of the brothers knocked the MFer out cold with his book bag.
