There is only one Democrat who thinks he’s winning or in a good position to win: Joe Biden. Every other member of his party, excluding his Rasputin-like inner circle, knows he’s in trouble. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) reportedly told donors that House Democrats face annihilation if the president remains in the race. The polling reflects that the map has only improved for Donald Trump ever since Biden’s abysmal June 27 debate.
CNN’s John King’s projection of the 2024 race isn’t just brutal for Joe Biden; it’s also something of an epitaph. We’re sixteen weeks away from Election Day, and with how things are, Democrats have little or no time to change the direction of this election. If things hold, and there is a lot of time left, but if this trend continues—Trump is looking at a 330 Electoral College blowout :
The White House probably doesn’t care. Biden either refuses to believe the polls, says it’s a close race, or cites phantom polls that his propagandists manufacture showing that he’s not losing. Biden trailing Trump by two to three points nationally is a loss. Even within the margin of error, Trump has the Electoral College edge and then some.
The president must be polling much better than where he is now to reach that baseline. The Biden campaign has tacitly acknowledged that some states are just lost—all of Biden’s Sun Belt gains have been surrendered. The president’s advisers think Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin are the path back to the White House. Trump is leading Biden in all three states. Virginia is now in solid battleground territory.
And the president’s age and mental decline are preventing him from campaigning effectively. It’s a zombie campaign.

A “generic” congressional ballot for a single state with a whopping total of 8 districts? Was their sample so small overall that the MOE to poll individual districts was off the charts?
The GOP already holds 6 of the 8 districts. There is zero chance of increasing that number. Republicans should easily hold the 8th district where that gutless spiteful RINO asswipe Mike Gallagher decided to cut and run earlier this year.
The 1st (R+3) and 3rd (R+4) districts are marginal and could be lost in a “blue” wave election, and it wouldn’t even have to be a very large wave; they should be safe otherwise, pending the WI Democrat Supreme Court ordering a Democrat gerrymander as it did for the state legislative districts. The current congressional districts look like they will be retained, at least for 2024.
Still, pollsters could have at least focused on the district level for CD-1, CD-3 and CD-8 and provided some actual useful information instead of meaningless generic numbers.

I think the actual big news is Trump leading in both Nebraska districts and Nevada. That’s his easiest path to 269. He would have to take back AZ and GA (both SEEM likely). This would mean the blue wall ultimately doesn’t save the Rats. It pushes it to the house.

There’s always the October Suprise. I would not be surprised to see NY sentence Trump to immediate incarceration.
My hope is that Trump does a “Yes We Can” speech. Ignore policy and ignore Biden. 100% hope and change. The country already knows what Trump believes and they already know that Biden is a horrible President. To the extent that you mention policy it should be something along the lines of, can the country fix the absorbent prices, “Yes We Can”.
My pessimistic prediction is that the GOP will underperform Trump in the Senate and House. The GOP bench has been weak for years. The Dems have a much better turnout machine than the GOP when it comes to Congressional elections. The GOP needs to rebuild infrastructure and maybe it will be able to compete in 2 or 4 years.

Here in CT and in neighboring MA we currently have exactly zero Republican representatives in Congress.

If the Democrats take the house, we can expect them to begin impeachment proceedings against Trump almost immediately.
Don’t forget the cheating factor during election itself and the publishing and construction of false and/or misleading polls. I think the Dems are realizing they need to cheat big or conduct an outright physical rebellion to grasp the reins of power.We cannot trust the polls to guide our behaviours.

That's what I expect. Merchan delayed sentencing because he was directed to, not knowing what was planned this past weekend. Since that failed, Merchan is the guy to fix the problem by sending Trump to prison immediately for the inmates to have a chance at him.

That won’t be it. He’d be released on bail on appeal. The “convicted felon” line isn’t working; they’re not going to try something g so semantic to push it further
