The agency has sacrificed its basic mission on the altar of DEI.
It was a shot heard around the world.
On Saturday, a gunman whom the FBI has identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks fired a burst of rifle shots at former president Donald Trump, grazing his ear and nearly killing him. The attempted assassination is an historic, and perilous, moment. We’ll get commentaries and investigations, and the government will announce reforms.
But amid all the chaos weaves the thread of another story, one that reveals a mounting problem in our political life. A surprising number of the Secret Service agents protecting the former president were women. And, according to video recordings of the scene, many did not acquit themselves favorably.
Scene one: after President Trump ducks, a group of agents leaps to him and protects him with their bodies. A female agent who rushes to the stage acts bravely, without a doubt, but the point of the “huddle” is to protect the president. The agent was much shorter than President Trump, leaving his head and neck exposed after he stood up.
Scene two: as Trump enters the escape vehicle, a female Secret Service agent fumbles her gun and cannot find her holster; another female agent appears confused and, in the moment of crisis, decides to use both of her hands to put on her sunglasses; a third looks frightened and uncertain.
These agents wear the typical Secret Service outfits—Kevlar vests pressing against white shirts; black blazers with gold pins; dark sunglasses—but to an impartial observer, they do not appear to have the same poise, confidence, and strength as the male agents around them.
The obvious question: Why so many female agents? The answer, unfortunately, is the same as in many other institutions: DEI.

YES! All this talk about the women who screwed up, but I watched as DJT reached for his ear, then ducked down, all BEFORE a single SS reached him, male or female! I even yelled to my husband, Where TF is the SS?!?!
Have they figured out who brought the cocaine into The White House yet?
Turn Presidental security detail to “special forces” (SEAL and Delta type) rotation who actually perform diplomatic security and have vast resources and knowledge.
Because they were. Meanwhile, the big bald guy front lest of the view was looking for heads to tear off. Of that group, he is the keeper. Pony tail was bouncing like a bunny and whirling like a dervish. Miss hair bun was trying to get run over. I’d be looking for replacements.
And sunglasses lady next to “how do I holster my gun” girl.
The people who ran the Department in Albany were the bigger threat. I'm one of the fortunate ones who lived to retire. The majority of uniformed people I worked with, that died working for the State were younger than me. Terminal illnesses took most. Accidents off the job, and suicide took others.
According to Erik Prince, it wasn’t a guy on top of that roof behind Trump who took out the shooter; it was a SS sniper who was 488 yards away who killed the shooter.

I’d love to hear our gun/sniper experts here respond to what Prince says in that post. One question I’d have is where would a SS sniper have been 488 yards away, and why didn’t the closer guys shoot once the shooter fired?
I’m a women and there are certain jobs women should not have....especially those that require laser focus in a volatile crisis....their emotions eventually get in the way...especially in a sustained crisis. Their mind is divided beween trying to keep their emotions in check and addressing the crisis......a man doesn’t have that - he’s hard wired to protect.
I understood that SEALs and Special Forces (Green Beret) possess different skill sets. If you want men you can drop into a village to arm and train guerrillas to overthrow their government, you send the Green Berets. If you want men you can drop into a village to kill everybody, you send the SEALS.
I don’t believe that of the SS.
That they could have been very dumbed-down in recent years, I can believe.
Nothing has changed for over 60 years now. That car was designed to have agents tag along on the rear.
.
Let’s say it wasn’t a deliberate attempt by the govt, to take out Pres. Trump. Say, there was nothing intentional in overlooking a sniper on a nearby roof, despite warnings from alarmed citizens on the scene. There was nothing nefarious about failing to post a man on that roof, securing it. Nothing evil about leaving that area to the inexperienced local leos. Nothing suspicious about not getting word to Trump’s bodyguards, to take cover or leave the scene with him. And giving the sniper the first move, like white in a chess match.
What exactly would they have done differently if it HAD been a deliberate plot to assassinate Trump?
The water tower... my guess.
Sure feels like it
“That’s a hell of a price to pay for being stylish”
Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry, Magnum Force. 1976.
True then, even more so today.
As did Ronald Reagan.
The real thing is quite different than the thing you have in your mind beforehand. You might think you are going to be a hero. But when the first bullet whizzes by you might not be ready for it no matter how much you think you are. Real tough training helps, as we see in a military force. I doubt that these female officers have been out through the same grind. Women generally do not respond as well in violent stress filled situations. Many men don’t either. But in women it is much higher. Everyone knows this. Even the feminists who try to pretend otherwise.
And you are correct. And dogs are dogs and cats are cats and nobody can change that. No matter how hard they try or wish it not so and for whatever reason. Best to move on to more important things that can be done instead of wasting resources.
i carry a glock26 never had an accidental discharge
Take out the sniper!
