During the presidential debate, Joe Biden mentioned or, shall we say, tried to mention a survey from early 2024 in which 154 historians rated all U.S. presidents. The ratings are so ridiculous as to be laughable.
In the Official Results of the 2024 Presidential Greatness Project Expert Survey, listed as a “Joint Project of Professors Brandon Rottinghaus from the University of Houston, and Justin Vaughn from Coastal Carolina University” while only in office for 36 months at the time, Joe Biden was ranked 14th among 46 U.S. presidents,
In the same survey, Donald Trump was ranked 46th—dead last. Like me, you probably want to examine the credentials of those who participated. I'd like to see their previous voting records because the survey represents a highly skewed sample.
Objectivity Matters
Ideally, historians are supposed to be objective to the greatest degree possible. If 154 of them, in consensus, rate Joe Biden as 14th, something is terribly wrong. These historians must be oblivious to the fact that we’ve been under a border invasion since Biden was installed as POTUS. These historians likely don’t shop in supermarkets. They must be oblivious to our energy situation, the depletion of our energy reserves, the potential for power grid failure, and so much else domestically under the reign of Joe Biden and company.
These historians must completely have missed the aggression of Vladimir Putin, who, sensing the utter weakness of the Biden administration, has raged against Ukraine with reckless abandon. Putin doesn't care how many young Russian men he kills; he knows that he'll still have a far greater supply than the number of Ukrainian men available.
It seems that this select group of historians has little or no knowledge of how Joe Biden has accommodated the Chinese Communist Party’s quest to rule the world and has allowed them to infiltrate the United States.
Short on Perspective
Most concerning is the historians’ collective lack of perspective, which one would think is part and parcel of being in the profession. These historians placed Jimmy Carter at #22! Carter must be doing his happy dance.
Biden and company have allowed illegals from 177 different nations in. In recent months, China has sent 25,000 nationals, virtually all of military age, across the border from Mexico to the U.S., contrasted with only 1800 over a four-year period prior to Biden.
If merely one in 100 of these Chinese is a spy or saboteur, that's 250 of them. Only 19 terrorists struck us in 2001, bringing down the World Trade Center and creating havoc in Pennsylvania and Washington DC, as well as in New York.
It would be hard to conceive of 154 historians, presumably, all doctorates from major accredited universities, to be so short-sighted as to rank Joe Biden ahead of Ronald Reagan, Ulysses S. Grant, Andrew Jackson, and James Monroe, while being such a bumbling fool on stage after stage that he has become a worldwide joke. Joe Biden is now the subject of YouTube video collages, memes, and endless jabs from comedians.
Left to Wonder
People from around the world are wondering how the United States of America, that once shining ‘City on the Hill,’ could have this kind of individual as its president.
How did these historians decide that Biden was competent and effective and had done wonderful things for the U.S.? Perhaps they read a report recently that indicated job creation was up 345,000 but did not seek further details. Some 80% of that job increase was for lower-level jobs to illegal aliens.
So, I have an idea. Before the Presidential Greatness Project Expert Survey takes another presidential poll and rates the presidents, wait a couple of years. See the results of what Biden has done and how things are starting to unfold as a result of his policies or lack thereof.
And, instead of taking a ‘random’ sample of your membership, namely those who already lean to the far Left, balance both the Left and Right if you have enough members on the Right. Thereafter, give us those numbers, with a ton of footnotes explaining the particulars. Otherwise, you’ve merely added to the Leftist propaganda machine, and anyone with two brain cells can see right through it.
You’re ok. You wrote it PhD and not Ph(D)
Remember the old teachers union ads “ Thank a Teacher”🤣🤣🤣?
“Historians” are sort of like “experts.”
Re: post 19 - wrong thread! Eating and posting at the same time is not for the timid.

meaningless until 20 years+ after they have died.
The “historians” probably work with the “economists” who think Biden omits is wonderful. And they can still tell us with a straight face to “listen to the experts.”
Historians are often unqualified to analyze the present. Some are slow to recognize changes to current trends and culture. Those who dabble in real-time analyses are often late to the dance.
“I’m probably worse as my PhD is in Philosophy.”
I have always wondered, what does a person with a PhD in Philosophy do for a living?
I also have an MLIS. I was the head of cataloging for a small university library system.
But, in a perfect world, people with a history or philosophy background would transfer their thinking and research skills into a business setting
That makes sense. Thanks.
Right after he left the Presidency, Harry Truman was rated very low by the allegedly qualified “Presidential raters”.
Now he is rated among the best of our Presidents!
I’m not ashamed for having been an academic, because I am a PhD scientist, and I have never supported DEI!
If academia goes back to what it was when I received my PhD, it will be cured of its many maladies!
Sorry, “historians”, but Biden is rock bottom—below Obama.
A second tizzy when Ronald Reagan's does.

I get it
154 historians who were recruited by the same filth who recruited 51 intel “pros” who said Hunter’s laptop was Russian, and 16 Nobel Prize “economists” said Biden’s economy was great.
Historians? More like hystericalans.
“Eating and posting at the same time is not for the timid.”
Usually it’s drinking and posting!😎
It is difficult for these “historians” to make a cogent decision while they are being violently buggered.
