the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump was "shocking," but it really wasn't. It was awful and depressing, of course, but I can't say that I was shocked.
The Democrats have done everything they could since 2016 to make last Saturday happen, dutifully aided and abetted by their flying monkeys in the mainstream media.
... unhinged ... they have been behaving since Trump was elected.
Matt wrote yesterday that Tucker Carlson had predicted this last year:
“If you begin with criticism, then you go to protest, then you go to impeachment, now you go to indictment and none of them work. What’s next? Graph it out, man. We’re speeding towards assassination, obviously," he said in an interview with comedian and podcaster Adam Carolla.

As Matt's post details, the MSM hacks were all over Carlson for that, calling it a conspiracy theory.
If there is one thing that we on the Right have learned since the pandemic, it's that "conspiracy theory" is leftist code for "They're correct, but we can't admit that."
The reaction from the Left has been pathetic and predictable. There have been a lot of variations of "Well, he kind of brought this on himself." David Frum vomited up some drivel at The Atlantic where he tried to draw a line connecting Trump supporters who legally open carry at rallies and the guy who tried to kill Trump.

While I do think that the assassination attempt opened the eyes of people who don't spend all day paying attention to politics, I can't believe that it locked up the race. It was just a few days ago that I was warning against being exuberant right now. That curmudgeonly skepticism is still coursing through my veins.

I don’t think it was their first choice. But they ran out of options…. And in fact it’s the timing that makes me think it was a conspiracy.
I fear this won’t be the last assassination attempt on Trump.
The left, in their drugged-up, deranged minds believe Trump is literally Hitler - and taking Trump out will “save the world.”
They hit Trump with lawfare, which is falling apart - and now will go to assassinating their opponents, just as in 3rd world countries.
I wouldn’t be surprised if some secret service agents were told if they see something suspicious to look the other way and just let it take its course. I hope the good Lord takes Trump under his wings.
President Trump MUST now disclose ALL the JFK assassination records. Most everyone does not believe our government’s “ story”, many believe the CIA or elements of our government was behind the assassination. Note: I remember the event, and even my parents didn’t believe the official account.
Draining the swamp must begin with full disclosure before we can rebuild and restore our nation.
