Karl Rove endorsed North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum for former President Donald Trump’s running mate, making the remark on Thursday, days ahead of the Republican National Convention taking place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Trump has yet to officially announce his choice for vice president and is expected to make that announcement any day now. However, there has been chatter with a few names continually surfacing, including Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance and Burgum. As for Karl Rove, he believes Burgum is the correct choice.

Run away as fast as you can from Rove.
I hear he's a real favorite with The Bulwark.

Yep. Rove “knows”?
Burghum is a great speaker, however, so I don’t hate him. Just another rich guy, though. No big deal for me, but who knows?
Vance is from a swing states that might be a good reason to choose him. Plus, he’s not just another rich guy, raised in horrible poverty and a broken family, which might be big plusses.
Look forward to convention.

"I had a feeling in the pit of my stomach that burgum was the wrong choice.. and here we are." Why? He's maybe my 5th choice after Youngkin, Youngkin, Youngkin, and Anyone Not Named Rubio.
Keep in mind that Turd Blossom has not enriched anyone but himself since 2004.

I’m leaning Carson after this endorsement. Carson won’t totally neutralize the race card but maybe a few undecideds will see how ridiculous the racism charge against Trump - leveled by foaming-at-the-mouth radicals - looks with the calm and articulate Carson standing right next to him all the time.
And VP Carson would be a nice choice to chair a National Commission on Medical Ethics, in the wake of the plandemic.

Well, he chose Bush’s boring white guy, so it’s a natural encore for “the architect” of Bush’s near defeat in 2000
