President Joe Biden is slated to participate in a one-on-one interview with NBC’s Lester Holt, as the 81 year old continues to stand defiantly in his decision to remain in the presidential race, despite the pleas of some very well-known Democrats.
NBC’s Monica Alba announced the upcoming interview, writing on X, “BREAKING: @NBCNews anchor Lester Holt will sit down with President Biden for an exclusive one-on-one interview on Monday in Austin, Texas.”
The entire interview is expected to air during a primetime special at 9:00 p.m. Eastern that same day.

I think you are correct in that Parkinson’s is a red herring. It is often accompanied by dementia, but not always. Biden supporters would be happy to have people believe he has a physical impairment but is mentally OK.
The one thing that Biden critics should repeat over and over is that Biden cannot speak with knowledge without reading a teleprompter or notes
Maybe they have a new drug they want to try.
Biden is not going to suddenly start improving no matter how much they try. He has gotten noticeably worse in the past three or four weeks. I guess they can hope to get the media back on their side and pull that curtain closed again and hope the voters forget what was revealed last week.
But, trying to get rid of Biden and Harris now would make the entire primary season void and set a precedent that a party whose candidates is losing in the polls in the summer before election day can swap in a new candidate chosen in haste by convention delegates or the party’s “powers that be”. We will eventually end up where one party will switch out their candidate, and in response the other party will do the same. This is a total abandonment of accepted norms and probably a violation of several election laws.
Pushing for him to step down now due to his mental impairment would put Kamala in place and they don’t want to do that. But they can’t say Biden is too impaired to run as their candidate but quite all right to run our nation.
The Democrats have dug themselves into a deep hole. And unfortunately, they are dragging the entire nation down into that hole with them.
You nailed it, Biden was a lot like this in the debate. Except for the "sometimes cognitive decline and paranoia". With him, it's every day, same for the Democrat party.

President Joe Biden’s campaign has already suffered a major slowdown in donations and officials are bracing for a seismic fundraising hit, with the fallout from a debate nearly two weeks ago taking a sizable toll on operations, according to four sources close to the re-election effort.
“It’s already disastrous,” one of the sources close to Biden’s re-election said of fundraising. “The money has absolutely shut off” to the Biden campaign, another source close to Biden’s re-election said. Even if they recorded it earlier in the day, they could put a timestamp on it to ensure that they air everything that happens in the interview. I think their definition of “the entire interview“ is all the parts they choose to show. They will show it all at once beginning at 9 PM instead of showing little bits and pieces at various times.
