It’s a crucial week for Biden. Here’s the latest.
President Biden issued defiant responses on Monday to high-ranking lawmakers calling for him to step aside, challenging Democrats to run against him and telling congressional Democrats in a letter that he was “firmly committed to staying in the race.”
Calling into “Morning Joe” on MSNBC, Mr. Biden said he didn’t care about any of the “big names” urging him to drop out of the race, his voice rising considerably as he spoke.
“If any of these guys don’t think I should run, run against me,” he said. “Go ahead, announce for president. Challenge me at the convention.”
Less than an hour earlier, Mr. Biden’s campaign released a letter to congressional Democrats in which he wrote that he was “firmly committed to staying in the race.”
His pledge to remain in the race kicks off what could be the most crucial week of his presidency, as he faces crumbling support from Democratic lawmakers and mounting fears of a rout by former President Donald J. Trump and his followers in November’s races for the White House and Congress.

The NATO summit. Many Democrats are demanding a ramped-up campaign for Mr. Biden to prove his viability, but he will be busy this week hosting the 75th NATO summit in Washington. The three-day meeting, beginning Tuesday, was planned months ago but arrives at an inopportune moment for Mr. Biden. Aides have promised an aggressive campaign schedule the week of July 15 — if it’s not too late.

LOVE IT! Anyway, the last time I knew the Superdelegate rules, I don’t think there’s enough to overturn an uncontested nomination (uncontested until now, that is).
Of course the Dems can change the rules...if they want to see real FIREWORKS at their convention.
Prediction - it will be a ‘virtual’ convention, they’ll come up with some lame excuse for not meeting in person.

I’m a big fan of Democrat-on-Democrat conflict.
I do notice that I have a tendency to want to take a side in a conflict within a party that I’m not going to support in any case.
I just don’t care whether the Democrats follow their own rules or state laws when it comes to picking their own candidates. I don’t care which Democrats were responsible for keeping other Democrats unaware of Joe’s dementia.
They are hurting each other right now. I don’t need to be a casualty here.

This upcoming Dem convention might be a little third-worldish but has the potential to be most entertaining.
It would take a heart of stone to not see the humor in the Democrat dumpster fire. That said, we’re not the only ones watching. Now everyone in the world knows, for a fact, that the US doesn’t have a functioning CIC.
Someone’s not going to be able to resist the temptation to take advantage of that fact.

There are CIA moles in the WH and they will do the dirty.
All the Dems have left in their quiver is "close ranks and defeat the evil Trump who is a threat to Our Democracy (c)" as if nothing else matters. To many of their voters, nothing else does.
