Proceeds from oil and gas sales for Russia's federal budget rose by around 41% year on year in the first half of the year 5.698 trillion rubles ($65.12 billion), finance ministry data showed on Wednesday, due to rising oil prices and the weaker ruble.
Oil and gas revenues have been the most important single source of cash for the Kremlin, accounting for around a third to a half of total federal budget proceedings for the last decade.

Russia keeps the eastern section that they currently control(where the residents speak Russian, and asked Putin to free them from the Ukrainian tyranny and atrocities), and Ukraine cannot join Nato.
Sounds good to me, and of course arrest Zelensky and others for war crimes.
Russia is not our friend (they’re commies). But the West mismanaged the war in Ukraine to the point that Ukraine is going to lose. The chance for the West to stop it was in February 2022 before Russia moved into Ukraine. Now we’re only delaying the inevitable.

What do you claim is not true? Do you claim that Russia is not printing a lot of rubles? That they are not running budget deficits? That they are not cashing out their financial reserves?
Russia is printing money, and burning it in a war, that provides no long term return back for the money.
It is paying a lot of people to work in the Defense industry, so the products can be blown up in Ukraine. A lot of money changes hands, and is then destroyed. It is like breaking a bunch of windows, and then crowing about how good business is for the repairmen. It is not making the country richer - they are borrowing against their future, and then squandering the money. They have become international pariahs, subject to more sanctions than North Korea.
In 1944, Nazi Germany had the fastest growing GDP in Europe, as they printed a huge load of money, and bought Military equipment and supplies with it - but their civilian economy (the real economy) was in a shambles. This is not the first time.
I guess that you just want to believe that Russia is magically exempt from costs of what they are doing, and just put your head in the sand, and call anyone who mentions it a troll. But that does not stop the costs from mounting on Russia. Guns vs. butter is a losing economic policy.
The Soviet Union used to look ten feet tall, before it collapsed, as did the Romanov Russian Empire before its fall. Russia has a history of such dramatic collapses, more frequent than other major countries. They are barreling down the road toward another one, if they can’t pull themselves off the course they are on now.

I just remembered this Viking kitty post (#60) from a few days ago. I thought this troll’s name sounded familiar.
He got his diapers all in a wad over a picture I posted of some Zelensky butt lampreys this evening and came out of nowhere, screeching gibberish about Russians and communists and all that noise zeepers tend to make.
It took me a minute to figure out what he was so freaked out about because his posts weren’t making much sense. This is yet another example of how humorless and angry these little zeeps are.
