Proceeds from oil and gas sales for Russia's federal budget rose by around 41% year on year in the first half of the year 5.698 trillion rubles ($65.12 billion), finance ministry data showed on Wednesday, due to rising oil prices and the weaker ruble.
Oil and gas revenues have been the most important single source of cash for the Kremlin, accounting for around a third to a half of total federal budget proceedings for the last decade.

I support America. I knew what your idiot Project Ukraine would turn out to be. I told you! I knew what your idiot sanctions would end up being. I told you so. I don’t support wasting hundreds of billions in Ukraine like you do. How is that America First, borrowing hundreds of billions for out of date MIC weaponry and DC/ Kiev corruption? How is believing the Russia, Russia, Russia lies and doing the most asinine thing in human history by screwing around with WWIII over Donbas? MAGA?!? Must be Donbas, Texas maybe? You’re MAGA?!? Ha, Ha, Ha! Stop it! You’re killing me! I can’t catch my breath. Ha, Ha, Ha!
You have started endless threads spitting in President Trump’s face-praising Russia while he unequivocally supports Ukraine-
and I rarely see you participate in anything but the above material.
I don’t like the war, debt or corruption.
President Trump said Ukraine’s survival is important to us-that’s good enough for myself-why not yourself?
I don’t follow anyone around, I read and participate in many different topics.
crying because this behavior is indefensible is not a good look.
Go away, you’re too dumb to argue with.
You support America by denigrating it at almost every opportunity while at the same time promoting Russian, Chinese and Iranian superiority that doesn’t exist.
Good one.
Crying?
Not at all. I’m laughing at your pathetic attempts to stir up trouble on this site.
That ends next year.
With Teump we will be the leading oil producer again.
Under Trump, US Oil production will darfur Russia.
Exactly!
I’m neither very bright nor that perceptive.
and get it.
That will be ‘nuff said.

MeganC. was banned about 2 weeks ago and now we have another snarky UKE imbecile stirring the pot.
Freest Republican’s signup date is March 4, 2022, a few days after the current conflict in Ukraine which began on February 24, 2022.
America is already the worlds largest producer of oil.
Amen to that cowboy!
Jan. 20th. can’t come fast enough.
“Russia is a gas station with nukes?”
While at the same time we’re told that Russia is going to conquer Europe and then the rest of the world in short order.
Check her account.
Whose?
The truth is not pretty. I could bury my head in the media masters’ feeding trough and say everything Biden has done in Ukraine is coming up aces. I could be a total MIC stooge and say we are getting a great deal with our trillion dollar a year military. Look at those putz Russians, they’re kicking NATO’s ass spending $71 billion this year.
Look, I used to stooge for the neocons, just like you (check the tagline). At least I was duped by best liars in all neocon history. My old warmongering wasn’t enlisted to turn me into a globohomo stooge.
Yeah, sure.
“Proceeds from oil and gas sales for Russia’s federal budget”
...”for Russia’s federal budget”
Not total oil and gas sales, but the Government’s cut of them, is what grew bigger.
Big new taxes have been levied on the oil producers and refiners, and major subsidies to refiners (which kept prices down for domestic oil product consumers) have been discontinued. Some minority of the increased revenue is from higher oil prices offsetting volume drops in refined products, but most of the 41% is simply the Government confiscating more
So the Russian Treasury is taking a much bigger slice of the oil industry pie, and burning it up in the Ukraine War.
Even as they near effective financial Nationalization of oil and gas profits, it is still not enough to fund their war spending spree, and float their sanctioned civilian economy.
A host of new taxes are being implemented in Russia, raising rates broadly on incomes and corporations, and instituting whole new taxes, like a new tax on childlessness.
Russia’s Government continues drawing down their National Wealth Fund, increasing their domestic debt, and printing rubles at a breakneck speed. The Ruble money supply expanded 25% and 20% respectively over the last two years, while the dollar money supply contracted 3% since January 2022. Higher inflation is already baked into the cake for Russia from their money printing spree, even if they stopped tomorrow (which they can’t).
Nothing is getting better in Russia.
