As long as the West continues to allow the Neocons to control this war, then there will be no stopping World War III. These people have spent their entire lives hating Russians for particularly personal reasons. These Neocons have waged endless wars since Vietnam.

“Neocons Still Trying to Create WWIII Before the Election”

I don’t think the Neocons want World War 3 as they know they will be at least somewhat effected, but as far as I can tell, given their constant escalations in Ukraine (now to the point of dropping Cluster Bombs on crowded Russian beaches), they seem to prefer World War 3 to a FAR WORSE outcome, which would be losing the 2024 election to Trump.

Still blows my mind as to how many accounts here are JUST FINE with that preference of the Neocons.

I had no love for the Soviet Union, since it was they, via Cuba, who outright threatened my life, as an Air Force brat, during The Cuban Missile Crisis.

Before high school, I had a dream that American businessez would be doing business with a posr-Soviet Russia, I learned bookkeeping and the Russian language.

Well, the post-Soviet era has been in bloom since 1988.

Russia ztill has strength, with a slightly paranoid former Soviet KGB agent, who has expressed aspirations of renewed Soviet/Royal grandeur. The U.S. should do well to not prod the bear too much.

IOW I didn’t buy into your unsubstantiated opinion.

I go with objective barometers if at all possible.

The ruble rallied the first four months of the invasion. That says we believe he will be able to evade sanctions long enough to finish off Ukraine and this is going to be over quickly.

That trumps your explanation.

Still blows my mind how FReepers still call President Trump a neo-con and/or a zeeper.

Same folks constantly extolling mighty Russia.

The stupidness knows no bounds.

President Trump supported the last spending bill and called Ukraine’s survival important to us.

Is he a zeeper comrade?

this is not a trick question.

A legacy bequeathed to Ukraine by generations of slavery to Russian imperialism.

LOL! So the Cossacks of Ukraine were genteel, civilized , and led the world in engineering and finance before Russia drove Ottomans out of Ukraine?

Oh really? You’re so informative! and AI was around in the 70’s.

There is no reason to refute the arguments of a lifetime always wrong con man.

Is that like red herring a few fake stories into Russia no longer meddles in US affairs despite doing so for over 100yrs?

President Trump unequivocally supports Ukraine.

Commie KGB stooge sympathizers unequivocally support Russia.

At some point maybe the stooge contingent will stop dumping on President Trump’s head although it is extremely unlikely.

When Neocons are EXPELLED from power in the US government, I’ll quit bitching about them.

And they WILL be expelled from DC, either after having to account for starting the Ukraine War to “Weaken Russia” (their words), or because EVERYONE will be expelled from DC, if they keep trying to get ‘cuter’ with Russia.

Like I asked the other schmuck pushing us to war with Russia. If Texas votes to secede, would you support the bombing of Texas? If Texas asked others for help after being bombed, would you call it an invasion by others?
I hate commies and used to sight in on them across the DMZ. But I also hate liars and revolutionaries that overthrow democracies and kill disenfranchised voters. But what I hate the most is what commie-pinko-fags are doing to my country, while drawing us into foreign wars on my dime. Are you a commie-pinko-fag?

It was Victoria Nuland who hand-picked the UNELECTED government in Ukraine and instructed it to begin the civil war, attacking the Donbas to lure in Putin so they could conquer Russia.

And with this you know that Armstrong is nothing but a Russian hack. Nuland did not appoint any Ukrainian government. After Yanukovych fled the country Turchynov was appointed interim president until new elections could be held. There have subsequently been two elections for president. Zelensky was elected, not appointed.

The "civil war" in Donbas started with Russia's military occupation in 2014 under the guise of local militias. Kyiv's actions in Donbas were legitimate attempts to drive out the Russians and reestablish sovereign control over its territories. The idea that all this was to lure Putin to attack so that Russia could be conquered is laughable. Ukraine is just holding on to its own. How is it going to conquer Russia? And if this was just a scheme to lure Putin in so that Russia could be conquered, then Putin is a fool for falling for that trap and should just leave. Armstrong is just repeating Russia's false talking points to justify its invasion.

LOL yourself! The vast majority of the people living in what we now call Ukraine for the last 500 years were not Cossacks. And your namesake would be ashamed to learn that you don't know that it was he and not Moscow who recovered a chunk of "Ottoman Ukraine" in 1676.

But let's start a little closer to home shall we? Like maybe the final victory of the Bolsheviks in 1921? The Soviet they created devolved into a classical Russian-style kleptocracy, albeit with a Marxist front, through WW2 and the Cold War, as we all know too well. This is what Ukraine inherited when it finally gained its' freedom in 1991. And is still dealing with 33 years later, while with the other hand fighting a hot war with Moscow since 2014.

Given the long and bitter history of Russian oppression of Poland since the late 1700s, it's pretty amazing that you should be standing up for Putin so vehemently.

Believe what you will. Your version, or my version. No one will change anyone’s mind. Fact is Senile Joe’s actions in this war has severely weakened the US and EU. The chord has been cut from western hegemony.

We have entered another cycle, all great nations eventually fade off into the sunset. Nations decline, others rise. The Pendulum is again swinging from the West back to the East.

Enjoy the show.

Poland has a long history of oppression and war. You forget the Polish Lithuanian empire’s forever wars, mainly their march into Moscow.

You are. You repeat every Russian lie verbatim.

If Texas votes to secede, would you support the bombing of Texas?

If Texas were invaded by tens of thousands of, say, a Mexican tyrant's "little green men", who intimidated residents to "vote" in a laughably rigged "referendum", deported Anglophone adults and children to Mexico, denied Anglophones jobs and medical care, and forced Anglophones to get Mexican passports, darned right I would support bombing the clap out of the invaders.

Not that this could actually happen, since Texans, (including most Hispanic Texans) take full advantage of our 2nd Amendment. An opportunity Ukrainians didn't have.
