The SCOTUS ruling protects Biden far more than it is expected to protect Trump. The statement of the court only touches on the official acts of any siting President, but it does not protect certain other acts of “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors” for which the President has been impeached, and convicted. Trump was impeached, but never convicted of any of the above. Biden shall never be impeached, as he is a “frail and confused old man”.
In response, CJ John Roberts should take the unprecedented step of making an address to the US from his chambers, defending the court and asking politicians to stop attacking the justices.
