Donald Trump’s lawyers on Monday asked the New York judge who presided over his hush money trial to set aside his conviction and delay his sentencing scheduled for later this month.
The letter to Judge Juan M. Merchan cited the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling earlier Monday and asked the judge to delay Trump’s sentencing while he weighs the high court’s decision and how it could influence the New York case, the people said.
The people could not discuss details of the letter before it was made public and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.
Merchan is going to do whatever it takes to get Trump behind bars and highly likely separated from his security...Don’t think they would love nothing better than to take Trump out...That is why I would not return to NYC.

Merchan is issuing his own sentence. There is no place on earth that he can hide to protect himself for what he is doing.

And Posibiec could have had any number of FReepers on his show who thoughtfully predicted there would be a sentence of jail time weeks ago. If Posibiec had some smarts he would have a criminal lawyer on with experience who could provide comments. Davis has limited experience in criminal law.

I also understand why people get annoyed by headlines with the word âBREAKING!!â or âBOOM!!â or Tic Toc!, people pimping their blogs, and other clickbait nonsense.
However, there is so much deception in government - these cases are like puzzles you piece together over a long period of time and you donât always know where a missing piece is going to come from. For that reason, I try not to get so annoyed that I write off potentially good sources.
I find the Hoft brothers annoying, but I read them anyway because sometimes Iâm glad I did. I sometimes find Tucker annoying -,but sane thing. Others like BIll OâReilly, I just canât stand - people say I should listen to him but I just canât.
My understanding is the President canĂ¢ĂÂĂÂt parson someone convicted of a state crime. Only the governor can do that.
Is President Trump required to be present at the sentencing hearing in New York on July 11?
I see on X that the July 11 Trump sentencing has been cancelled by Merchan with no objection by Bragg’s office, pending review of recent SCOTUS rulings and a filing made by Trump’s legal team.
The DNC, Jack Smith, AG Garland, Biden and the DC Marxist cabal are having a terrible, no good, awful, very bad month.

After Merchan sentences, SC can’t intervene quickly enough to prevent him from being sent to Riker’s for an orange jumpsuit and getting his head shaved.
