The Russian Foreign Ministry summoned the American ambassador on Monday to protest what it says was the use of U.S.-made advanced missiles in a Ukrainian attack on Russian-annexed Crimea that reportedly killed four people and wounded more than 150.

Washington “has effectively become a party” to the war on Ukraine’s side, the ministry said in a statement, adding, “Retaliatory measures will certainly follow.” It did not elaborate.

Kyiv’s forces have relied heavily on Western-supplied weaponry since Russia’s invasion more than three years ago.

“Houthis used Russian made missiles to shoot at U.S. warships in Indian Ocean”

I hadn't heard that before. Please provide proof of your claim.

Muscovites began as barbarians, and remain barbarians.

The country which gave us Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich, Borodin, Puskin, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, the Bolshoi Ballet etc., is not barbarian.

What's America's cultural contribution to civilization? Hollywood? Elvis? McDonalds?

If Russia doesn’t want its troops targeted by Ukraine, it can remove them from Ukraine.

We all know that would not stop the targeting of Russia by NATO.

But are programmed with a targeting solution to arrive at a specific target, no?

In September of 2022, the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics voted for liberation. More than 93% voted for freedom from Washington and London and NATO. Zaporizhzhia region followed and 87% in the Kherson region joined in shortly thereafter. So, there you go Chad, it’s another L for globalism.

Oh, not true. The Ukrainians had been told not to use U.S. supplied weapons outside of Ukraine, or in parts of Ukraine claimed by Russia. The latter restriction has been removed.

I’m not sure of all the particulars.

Smarty-pants Matt Bracken talked about this possibility almost three weeks ago.

Essentially, we sell the KABOOM! but retain the hardware and the tech know-how.

He also said that the US is being kept in the dark by our media. relative to the rest of the world. I know the web is global, but fat, dumb and happy Americans sometimes need to be bludgeoned to get their attention.

So you say. But not according to the United States State Department, nor agreements made by the Russian Government in 1991. The United States does not recognize Taiwan formally, and remains ambiguous about its status. There is no ambiguity about the status of Crimea, except in Putin’s, and his acolytes’ minds.

No, they targeted occupying Russian military forces, Russian AA intercepted, and the debris landed on a beach.

We know that nothing anyone ever does will result in Russia’s kleptocrats no longer feeling threatened.

That’s why we call it paranoia.

Um, no. The Russian occupation forces putting a civilian recreational beach near a military installation in an active combat zone is the problem, not Ukraine’s conducting combat operations to drive out the invaders.

Because crossing an international border and invading a neighbor, particularly to conquer and take that neighbors land, is a bad precedent to let stand?

We know that nothing anyone ever does will result in Russia’s kleptocrats no longer feeling threatened.

Why would Russia feel paranoid with NATO ringing its borders and having Dutch, Polish and American NATO reps engage in discussions about how Russia needs to be "decolonized" and broken up into smaller countries?

There will be "decolonization" taking place, but it won't be in Russia.
