When California native David Klein moved to the quiet city of Gallatin, Tennessee, 25 years ago, he did so to escape the chaos of West Coast urbanization.
Now, he says, it feels like it is 'chasing' him.
Since the pandemic, an influx of outsiders from the Golden State and elsewhere have turned a once tranquil community into an overcrowded 'hell'.

The Answer: They're COMPLETE DUMBA$$ES!
Tell that to the people calling ME DAILY asking if I want to sell my property.
Most all big cities are run by leftist nowadays. Even the big cities in Texas are all run by leftists.
Moral to the story, stay away from big cities.
I think I do. I know several who moved into our little northern Idaho community and finally departed (thank God!) for Denver, which they may regret by now. The persistent attitude is "Oh, but there's so much our government can do for us!" with the disclaimer that in Kali they just weren't doing it right. It's a variation of the hoary "this time socialism can work" trope. And when it doesn't work it's somebody else's fault and they just move on.
Maybe they should have something like Prop 13 in California.
It is their fault for not having something that limits property tax increases.
“The owners of existing properties can’t afford the increase in tax assessments caused by what their new neighbors are doing to their properties.”
Over the last 20 years, who elected the people that have been setting the property tax rates in that area?
IF you are referring to a “Cloud server” storage -—ASK yourself HOW MUCH WATER IT TAKES TO KEEP THOSE SERVERS COOL.
IT IS MASSIVE.
It's all fun and games until it happens to you. These aren't homeowners, they're often one owner selling undeveloped land. The locals get stuck with the increases in taxes and also the overburdened infrastructure.
Mock it all you want but it has an adverse impact on the country.
Ya mean southerners can't afford the taxes because southerners are selling homes to Californians at inflated prices? Bewhahahahaha...
These aren't homeowners, they're often one owner selling undeveloped land.
I see, Californians aren't buying new homes in the states they move to, only undeveloped land.
The bull s**t never ends.
Sure, people in other states would never sell their homes at inflated prices to Californians because their super conservatives. Right Yoits?
California needs to invade and seize Nevada and Arizona! We need “Super-California” to embrace all of the Southwest! Make America like California—a Progressive Paradise! Gavin Newsom for President-For-Like like Zelenskyy. Letr us enlighten the world with what Leftism can do to make a true worker’s paradise for all illegals and the poor!
Yes
I was just elaborating
I lived there 88-95
I knew folks who were native and country
But it was a Latino town even then and the Jews at the beach were dying out
We didn’t speak English at home and my girls didn’t learn it till sunshine day school south Miami or Gullliver maybe
I liked it but Dade had a million less souls then and traffic was already horrible
It’s too fast a place to raise kids and the American blacks are a rough resentful bunch there
because they never connect the dots between what their liberal beliefs and the results.
They think they can be liberal socially and conservative fiscally elsewhere, but they never realize the two are inseparable
Deep State has to steal NY’s and CA’s elections for a reason.
The lib migrants from wherever tend to go to lib areas like east Nashville
Or Oxford Miss
Most are not libs at least that’s my fairly extensive experience since 2010 or so here
One fact: the kali women are pretty and thinner and the kids aren’t fat
They love Franklin
They claim it feels like Ireland geographically or the cotswalds inhabited by southerners and Michiganders here
I tell them the dna chain from southerners to Irish and Scot’s Irish is pretty direct
I remember, back in the 1970s Los Angeles, working with a native San Franciscan who complained about all the crazies coming in looking for the 1960s vibe. She said they ruined the city.
I also fondly remember childhood visits to San Francisco, which had once been a swanky, elegant town. 10 years later it turned into a hippie/homeless shelter.
I was there from 1974 to 1981.

Yep.
We hate them here in NC. Well, the loud obnoxious ones like the gay yankee uber driver I had last week. He was a POS who badmouthed Southerners.
They defecate in their own drinking water and make their towns/states too expensive and unlivable and then come to our beautiful state and ruin it with their leftist policies.
