I was just elaborating

I lived there 88-95

I knew folks who were native and country

But it was a Latino town even then and the Jews at the beach were dying out

We didn’t speak English at home and my girls didn’t learn it till sunshine day school south Miami or Gullliver maybe

I liked it but Dade had a million less souls then and traffic was already horrible

It’s too fast a place to raise kids and the American blacks are a rough resentful bunch there

I remember visiting my great-grandfather in the North Miami Beach area in the late 1960s, both sets of my grandparents moved to the Broward County area in the early 1970s, and we followed them a few years later.

I was there from 1974 to 1981.
