Women may be required to register for the draft

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Senate’s version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) includes a provision that would require women to register for Selective Service, marking a significant potential change in military policy.

On page three of the NDAA, under the heading of “Strengthening the Joint Force and Defense Workforce,” the Military Selective Service Act would be amended to require the registration of women for Selective Service.

While some lawmakers oppose the measure, others argue it would benefit the government. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) voiced his concerns during a committee meeting.

“I just think it’s wrong to say to women, ‘We’re going to involuntarily put you in the military.’ If they want to join voluntarily, that’s fantastic,” he said. “My sister proudly served in the United States Navy. There are so many women in the armed forces doing terrific work. Women have been part of the military since its founding, and that’s awesome. But that’s not what we’re talking about. They’re talking about drafting women involuntarily, and I’m totally opposed to that. I’m also worried about the expansion of the draft.”

In contrast, Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) supports the amendment.

“This amendment would purely cut the government red tape that exists and allow an important government office to be more efficient and save money for more American taxpayers,” she said.

The NDAA also includes a 4.5% raise for military members and a 2% raise for Department of Defense civilian workers.

Former first son Donald Trump Jr. criticized the move, stating, “Democrats want to draft your daughters to fight the wars that no one in America outside of the military industrial complex wants to be in.”

Gosh, you’re an idiot. Never served, have you - and certainly not in combat. I have and it’s no place for women. Get some testosterone shots or something.

Testosterone shots? You might want to get some brain food. Your enemies know how to use your "man card" mentality to manipulate you.

Wake up and look around you. You fought a war for what? For these people to aid and abet invaders? For these people to deflate your money and increase the debt to $34 trillion To have men drafted at the whim of women, soy boys, and those who are blackmailing them, to go fight a war for globalists?

By law, every MOS in the military does not have any sex requirement.

That is a law that needs to be changed right now.

Women are not effective in combat roles and units containing women are not effective in combat. This is where political correctness gets people killed in a hurry.

Woman can be effective in a variety of non-combat roles and should be used in them as needs develop.

A draft is a terrible idea in any case, for women or men. Our fraudulent civilian political leaders have poisoned the military forces and there is no point feeding more young people into a meat grinder.

We had best dump the "woke" princes in the officer ranks before we get into the next war, else the casualties will be appalling. We will need a replacement for all our current political leaders as well.

War is a very harsh teacher. The grading is pass/fail.

Sounds like the time for Ketanji’s judgment on whether women are equipped to serve.

My daughters will never be drafted. A country that drafts its women into the military are not worth fighting for.

I knew this was on the horizon of possibilities, just as reactivating the Draft is, although no one wants to wade into that deep cold water just yet.

If we are cursed with a second Biden term, I expect both issues will be discussed and activated within the first six months of his new term. Why not? The Dems will have nothing else to fear at that point. We’ll be stuck with them for the duration.

Men are designed to protect women. This is against the natural order of creation and is an abominable idea. Twisted pychopathy runs amok in DC.

I am in favor of requiring every American to serve their country in some capacity.

If I were King for a Day, every high school graduate would be required to go to some sort of “Boot Camp” modeled after USMC’s Parris Island, and serve in some capacity for at least two years!

Wouldn’t have to be military - could be Peace Corps or America Corps kinda thing!

But they would have to serve!

Yeah, I know we are talking HUGE numbers of “Boots,” but it could be done, and it should be done.

Not enough young Americans have an appreciation for what the USA is all about - two years of “National Service” would, IMHO, be a GOOD THING!

Well considering the voting patterns of women today, they voted for this. They voted for endless war so they can fight it.

I agree—all Americans should serve—ALL. Universal Conscription. Some for the branches of the armed forces, including coast guard. (I would add a new branch—The Border Guard to replace the Border Patrol). That and the Peace corps, or Americorps (Fight fires, do first aid—disaster relief for Red Cross). National Parks, and Conservation of historic sites and monuments. There is a lot to do. All should serve for two years—Even young people in jail, The disabled, the mentally challenged (they can pick up trash if nothing else). All serve in someway to make America better. Even illegal aliens—serve or go home to their own lands.

“The soldiers serving under General Washington were paid volunteers”

Really? When did they finally get paid?
Paid in almost worthless Continental paper money—but paid. Even former slaves.

About the group who can meet the weight requirement are women in great numbers.

Personally, I am glad that the bra burners lived long enought to how their life work has accomplished.

Now women will be forced to act in a logical manner where actions have consequences. When the rubber meets the road you either get in line or you get squashed in the windshield. Equally and social justice are just different words for nothing left to lose.

Men are designed to protect their women, women who don't discard them.

These women "who don't need no man" can protect themselves.

Sorry sport, that one was argued in December of 1917 at the height of the progressive era. One of the reasons the draft ended after Vietnam was the cases winding their way to the Supreme Court.
That was a very poor decision that is astonishingly poorly reasoned or supported. It used a Pennsylvania STATE case, decided during the Civil War as a legal basis. It referred to an 1758 Book written by a Prussian Lawyer and published in Switzerland as a basis for it’s opinion. So, it ignored blackletter law of the 13th Amendment in favor of the Penn Supreme court, a Prussian Lawyer’s textbook from the 1750s and then worst of all, the court even used a list of foreign countries that drafted THEIR citizens as a basis for “we should it too”. Because if Turkey, Siam, Russia and Germany do it, certainly it should be incorporated into US Law!

It was nothing but a sicko war fever case when civil rights were flagrantly being ignored and idiots were killing every Dachshund they could find and eating Liberty Cabbage instead of Sauerkraut.

That case is so laughably substandard that it would be immediately overturned if revisited today. Nobody serious thinks it would stand new scrutiny. And the Pentagram killed the draft to moot upcoming cases that would do just that.

But the war slaver swamp and Generals still want it.
But it is over. The days of national government slavery are gone forever. It’s an artifact of the past that is thankfully gone.

Exercise your power elsewhere lol.

I’m sure female pilots train at the Survival Schools in the Air Force. By all means, incorporate survival training for women servicemembers.
