Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Looks like it was a little on the breezy side yesterday, the way the lake was ruffled up. Probably made it more comfortable for your outing. Gizmo had fun.
Well, we had the park all to ourselves. As we were leaving, there was a group parked on the grass heading collecting I have no idea what and a pickup arriving to pay for some boat launching but we had a spectacular time today.
Yeah, GA has more clay than we do. LOL
The moon looks fairly normal tonight. That I can see it doesn’t bode well for tomorrow being another decent day. The clouds today sure helped a lot.
It’s always better when there are fewer people to distract Gizmo in his wanderings. Plus, there’s less noise. Glad y’all had fun.
Oh, I hope some clouds sneak back in before you have to get out in the heat.
Guess I’d better finish this show and go get some sleep. See ya tomorrow!
It would be nice if clouds move back in and keep the temp down again. It was pretty nice out there today. It’s nice out there now. Just came in from watering the potted flowers and had a smile on my face. The first katydids have awakened! WOOHOO! They’re early too. It’s usually around July 4th that I start hearing them.
Sleep well. Catch ya tomorrow.
15 out of 15.
The quiz is wrong though.
They say that British Multi Terrain Pattern and Multicam is the same when they are actually two distinct patterns although they use many of the same colors.
Nine out of fifteen correct. But since I’ve been out of the service 48 years I don’t feel too bad. It was a fun quiz.
Bible in a Year :
I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.
President Abraham Lincoln had emancipated people held in slavery two-and-a half-years earlier and the Confederacy had surrendered, yet the state of Texas still hadn’t acknowledged the freedom of enslaved persons. However, on June 19, 1865, Union army general Gordon Granger rode into Galveston, Texas, and demanded that all enslaved persons be released. Imagine the shock and joy as shackles fell off and those in bondage heard the pronouncement of freedom.
God sees the oppressed, and He’ll ultimately announce freedom for those under the weight of injustice. This is true now just as it was true in Moses’ day. God appeared to him from a burning bush with an urgent message: “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt” (Exodus 3:7). He not only saw Egypt’s brutality against Israel—but He also planned to do something about it. “I have come down to rescue them,” God declared, “and to bring them . . . into a good and spacious land” (v. 8). He intended to declare freedom to Israel, and Moses would be the mouthpiece. “I am sending you to Pharaoh,” God told His servant, “to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt” (v. 10).
Though God’s timing may not happen as quickly as we hope, one day He’ll free us from all bondage and injustice. He gives hope and liberation to all who are oppressed.
Reflect & Pray
How have you seen God work to help the oppressed? How does He invite you to participate in His work?
Dear God, there’s so much oppression in the story of our world. It’s easy to despair. Please help me stay attuned to Your intention to announce freedom.
This is an incredible story & worth hearing.

Well, good luck with everything getting done on time so you can crash by tomorrow night. I think I’d put off those boxes till day AFTER tomorrow. Sounds like you’ve got this DONE!
Hey there, Rus! Good to see you made it! I was beginning to worry. Silly me. You’re not going to miss sharing our beautiful lesson from God’s Word!
Awesome perfect score! You really know your camo! So many of them are so similar, I was a hot mess trying to guess. LOL!
Nope - no way! I started it and was immediately pounded with wrong answers. I surrender on this.
It was kind of a hard one! Thanks for trying, though. :)
Well just guessing Luvie I got 7 right. :)
That’s a great score! Thanks for flying in, Janey! :)
