There is no longer any reason to be in San Francisco.
Just like NYC.
It’s cyclical, and this cycle has run its course.
No recovery on our lifetime.

SF can be fixed, but it would require expulsion of certain Democrat constituencies, which makes it politically impossible.
You would need to chase out anyone who wasn’t employed.

Such optimism!!!
San Fransisco will be but ashes and rubble long before 2042.

The needs of the business world are changing.
There is not such a need for all this office e space any more.
And there is not such a great need to have a physical office in certsin big cities any more.
Why pay a premium price for office space in expensive NYC or SF if you don’t need an office there?

“That’s more than four mayoral terms away”
That’s enough time for the mayors to learn the names of TWENTY drag queens. Things will be perfect, then.

It’s doubtful any blue city will recover after all the long term damage it appears they will end up like Chicago.

SF’s office scene might not recover until 2042
Not unless SF enters some alternate reality where Republicans and sane governance come to the city. As things are, SF will be reverting to wilderness by 2042.

Frisco (Friscans just HATE it when you call Frisco "Frisco" BTW) is a truly beautiful city...
...in your rear view mirror.
Recover?
Unlikely ever to see a recovery.
The Friscan voters will perpetually re-elect those that oversee the fungal overgrowth that has overtaken the once great city.

The office workforce will continue to decline across America. The whole idea of a company “office” is dying, and office buildings are an anachronism. And, nobody wants to work “downtown” anymore. Downtown’s are dangerous and dirty. San Francisco as it once was will never return.
To: Vendome
Why should it ever recover?
It may end up like Detroit, the city which does not really exists anymore.

There will be a great quake before 2042 that will take out all the excess supply.
