A New York Appeals court on Tuesday denied Trump’s bid to appeal a gag order in Alvin Bragg’s case after a jury already returned a guilty verdict.
President Trump previously asked the Court to lift the gag order “because the trial has concluded.”
Biden’s DOJ hatchet man Matthew Colangelo earlier this month asked Merchan to keep the gag order in place to “avoid threats to the fairness of the trial itself.”

Trump should hold a rally at Mar-a-lago on July 12; i.e. don’t even go to NYC. Make them come get you and get thorough the thousands standing in between...

Not a lawyer but I believe a judge has tremendous discretion to leave an order in place forever, subject of course to appeal and reversal, and a defendants financial ability to pursue that appeal, and the court choosing to hear it.

This is a constitutional violation that needs a USSC ruling. Not that I trust them.

Obviously, the New York appeals court is not going to overturn his conviction, either, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the “judge” gave him a super heavy sentence, too. The SC will have to be his recourse. But as for this gag order, he has first amendment rights like everyone else. The SC will HAVE to intervene.
I suspect the judge will consider Trump’s cooperation with the gag order (or not) in handing out the sentence. Looks like a setup in order to trigger Trump to provide the judge with more ammo.
They need him gagged for the Debate. He should have made a deal that no questions about thr conviction unless there is no gag order on him. Ot may actually be a good time to break the gag order. During the debate then when he’s arrested it will be reported that it was as a resultnof breaking the gag order During the debate and everyone can learn it’s a big scam. Now is as good a time as any. It’s not me who will be in prison so easier said than done, no doubt.

They were talking about this on Fox a little while ago. Biden is sure to taunt Trump about the conviction in the debate and Trump will be restricted in what he can say. If he goes beyond the invisible line Merchan has in mind, he could be sent to jail. Maybe that’s why Merchan is keeping the gag order in place, knowing that the debate is coming up before July 11.
