Not a lawyer but I believe a judge has tremendous discretion to leave an order in place forever, subject of course to appeal and reversal, and a defendants financial ability to pursue that appeal, and the court choosing to hear it.

And its pretty obvious from this “case” that judges - pathetic liberal arts majors with little costumes - should have no such power in this society
