Taxpayers will pick up the majority of cost for Jill Biden's whirlwind flights between Wilmington, Delaware, and France so she could be at son Hunter's side during his federal gun trial although the Democratic Party will chip in some funds.
The first lady racked up $345,400 in flight costs, the National Taxpayers Union Foundation estimated, as she boomeranged between the United States and France last week, traveling separately from husband Joe Biden so she could support her family at home while also representing the United States abroad.
Her political party will repay the government for what it would cost for her to fly commercially with taxpayers footing the rest of the bill.

She should fly commercial. Buy the whole first class on a Air France flight. A bunch of Secret Service agents will be accompanying her. Use pseudonym. This would be “last minute” so why not?
It is well known that the POTUS, any POTUS, and Family are liable only for the equivalent commercial airfare.........

Washington, D.C. - According to media reports, Jill Biden is in the middle of making several trips back-and-forth across the Atlantic in just a few short days.
In at least one leg of the journey, the First Lady boarded a military aircraft in Paris to return to Delaware in order to attend Hunter’s court proceedings. In total, the First Lady flew between the United States and France at least three times from Wednesday through Friday.
“As Joe Biden threatens to declare a climate emergency complete with COVID-style lock-downs and punitive measures, he’s using hundreds of thousands of gallons of jet fuel at the taxpayer expense to fly his wife back-and-forth across the Atlantic,” said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. “The Biden climate scheme is pretty simple: working families are supposed to shut up and pay up while he and all the other hypocrites live it up.”
Presumedly, the First lady will also take another transatlantic flight to return home to the United States in the near future.
