How’s bout a survey of people who graduated up to now and who paid our own way?
That’s what you need to survey because WE are the ones being asked to pay for others who want THEIR education for free!
However, if you graduated with a STEM degree or a degree where moving into the workforce is a natural progression, those numbers won’t be accurate. They should break this chart down by type of degree. I’m sure what we will find is French lit and Women’s study majors are the ones answering these questions.
Big Education (BE) is financially raping their student body. There are no market pressures that would exert control on BE’s tuition, fees, and other charges. BE knows that any price they fix will be paid by the students. Where the students get the money is of no concern to BE - pay up front or go away. And if a student meets the exorbitant number set by BE, it is still up to the student to somehow absorb enough information to get a job in life. Most often the effort by the student to acquire information is thwarted by educators that are far more interested in acquiring tenure and grants than they are about educating BE’s paying customers. Add to that the underlying feeling that BE is unconcerned about providing a quality product to their students.
So we are concerned about how children feel?
God help us. The most ‘educated’ are the stupidest among us.
