We have no Plan B if Ukraine falls, says Estonia
BBC News ^ | May 31, 2024 | Frank Gardner

Estonia considers itself a front-line state, a Nato member where its border guards stare across the Narva River at the Russian fortress of Ivangorod.

This tiny Baltic state, once a part of the Soviet Union, is convinced that once the fighting stops in Ukraine, President Vladimir Putin will turn his attention to the Baltics, looking to bring countries like Estonia back under Moscow’s control.

To help stave off that possibility, Estonia’s government has poured money and weapons into Ukraine’s war effort, donating more than 1% of its GDP to Kyiv.

"If every Nato country did this," says Estonia’s steely Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, "Ukraine would win."

But Ukraine isn’t winning.

Short of artillery, ammunition, air defences and most of all, troops, Ukraine is struggling to hold back the sheer weight of Russian firepower, glide bombs and massed infantry assaults that often border on the suicidal.

Well, Trump was chosen by the voters but Ron will never be The Lord.

Get over it and enjoy your Governator. Your butthurt only riles and hurts you.

Estonia needs to wise up.

They were better off under the USSR, and Putin means well, so, if Ukraine fails, Estonia needs to give up too and fly the Russian flag. Heck, all of Europe would be better off under Russian rule, and NATO needs to be disbanded, and the U.S. should mind its own business. We have no interests in any part of Europe or in any part of the world. Let the U.S. go back to better times when they minded their own business. The U.S. was safer in the 1800s, so, let’s go back to that. Staying neutral and minding our own business will be respected by all other countries.

Maybe should have thought about that starting over a decade ago...

They had to throw the meat assaults under a different name. There’s no plan B because the Ukraine war is being run by incompetent clowns, from Biden to the NATO commander. All they can do is escalate. That won’t end well for Ukraine.

I hope for the day we won’t need somebody like Trump, but right now, it’s what we need. We need somebody to throw a spanner in the works.

2. He was also a federal prosecutor before he ran for Congress. That alone means he deserves the same level of public respect that you’d give to a child molester.

And the federal prosecutors who prosecuted Weiner for sexting a minor, Blagojevich for selling 0bama's Senate seat, Menendez and Cuellar for bribery, and Cori Bush for using campaign money to hire her husband's security firm? Do they deserve more respect than a child molester? It's just a job like any other. If we are to have law and order in this country we need prosecutors as well as defense attorneys.

3. As far as I’m concerned, any military veteran who joined the armed forces after 1992 is disqualified from any consideration to hold a political office at the national level.

Why?? What do you have against the military?

We live in a global economy right now. Much of that is dependent on the U.S. navy to ensure the freedom of the seas. If we're gone, nations throughout the world will have a difficult time trading with each other.

Russia? China? They will not promise other countries the freedom to trade with each other.

Rubbish. We have plenty of good MAGA Republicans from MTG to DeSantis willing to step in if Trump should die or be jailed.

You seem pretty confident that Kommisar DickTater Biden won't have them jailed also.

Estonia shares a border with Russia. It doesn’t border Ukraine. If Russia was interested in invading Estonia, it could have done so long before now.

That’s good, Ukraine needs to end & NATO will hopefully end, too, God willing.

You may be onto something. Zelensky is no longer elected leader of Ukraine. He is a little unelected dictator abusing their office of leader. He still runs around the globe pretending he is a democratically elected leader.

I can see POS Biden getting us deeper into a war with Russia, cancelling the elections and not leaving, which is also what he accuses Trump of doing. He wouldn’t even have to start a nuclear conflagration.

He may do exactly what Zelensky is doing and justify it by using the we are at war hogwash. Those neocon RINOs would be making all kinds of excuses for POS Biden.

“Joe Biden is not going to nuke Russia over the Baltics.”

Not so fast there. Joe’s guarantees to defend NATO are iron-clad!

You seem to know a lot more about the Rats' plan than I do. What would the charges be?

The truth is Estonia has signed on to the globalist NWO and they are going along with the whole agenda. They are no more independent than the whole western world at this time.

They signed up for NATO, so why worry?

We live in a global economy right now.

What are you? A neocon or something?

Like I said, we were better off when we minded our own business, and we were able to take care of ourselves before international trade became popular and widespread. Back to the 1800s or bust!

If we mind our own business, nobody will come for us. Stay out of other countries' business, and they'll stay out of ours.

Maybe not so much, if they just take a bit more than Crimea and let Poland have the western part, as a “protectorate.” Kiev can have “independent Ukraine” in the middle.

Although I don't always agree, I understand people being frustrated with corruption in Ukraine, or with our spending billions of dollars there, or wishing that we would not take sides. What I have a problem with are those who are rooting for Russia, the invader, to win. I truly believe that many of these same people, if given a choice between Russia and the United States, would want Russia to win. Failure to understand history is obviously a problem.

Sad to say, I consider these posters ignorant tools of Russia and the enemy of our country.

I’m not a fan of incorporating more Ukrainians into Poland, it didn’t work out too well during WWII.
