We lost little avalanche. Mom kept putting him in different places - out of their little house. I kept putting him back and tried to give him formula. He wouldn’t take it. This morning I found him out of the nest, and he was gone. I’m so mad at her!
Oh I’m sorry, CB. What a shame, poor little thing. Animals can sometimes be so awful to their little ones.
Sometimes, animals can sense something is wrong with their offspring.
We had a cat give birth to a litter, and one of the kittens
had hydrocephalus, (water on the brain,)and could not nurse
properly.
She wanted nothing to do with it, and would stop nursing
all the other kittens if that poor baby tried to nurse.
I had it put down, myself to alleviate it’s suffering.
Try not to be mad at her, CB.
Maybe she knew it would not thrive.
I lost one of the most beautiful bob tailed kittens I have ever seen.
This poor baby could not regulate it’s body temp.
The Vet was really sad about it, and so was I!
There was no way to save it..
Maybe she just knew, you know?
