Am I The Only One – Aaron Lewis
Holy cow Cotton! Those are beautiful. All of them. Baking - whether it be calzone or a fancy cake has never been a draw for me to learn to become proficient with producing. The desserts I usually make are really easy but look a bit more complicated to the non culinary folk( Baked Alaska, bananas Foster, cherries jubilee, pineapple upside down cake)
Yes vanilla and almond extract are two favs of mine to add to many things - muffins, pancakes/waffles, banana bread)
Have you made vanilla extract? Easy vanilla beans n vodka
That’s funny ~ pooh/poo
Years back when I lived here in NC I worked with youth groups. A little girl one year younger than my Son was named CleRenda but everyone called her Pooh. Her mom and I were close friends as I taught where she was the administrative assistant to the President
Pooh went on to college, grad school and eventually became mrs Tracy McGrady

Wow that IS A LOT OF WORK.
Read through recipe shaking head and there the first comment compliments the chef for easiest recipe she’s seen for this dish
The broth alone goes way beyond simple bone broth
Nice pix of 45 and Barron
Press Secy claims Biden freezing up is that he’s dancing … which of course is perfectly part of a heads of state Summit- right?
I don’t know if she used that exact recipe. She described the process to me, but I tuned out after “slow roast a few large steaks on low heat for most of the day.” They are a Dutch thing, and she made them with a friend so they both had a number of them to freeze as well.
I have a couple in the fridge that I’ll be having tonight. I tasted one yesterday, but I had already had my barbequed sausage and yummy potato salad, so I was too full to enjoy them. Usually Dutch cooking is pretty bland and boring, but these are very good. I also like Boterkoek (Dutch butter cake). They’re super easy. I made a couple of them the other day and quickly put them in the freezer so I didn’t eat any lol.
A good read
Israel has identical problems to Canada, U.S. and many European countries.
But Israel has a leader who fights…not a lap dog like ours

The horrific October 7th massacre happened. Obviously God allowed it to take place.
We can and should hold the perpetrators responsible and accountable. They should all be given the maximum punishment, particularly so they will never get a chance to be released in a future hostage deal.
However, just like the fall of Jerusalem’s first and second temples are often considered the direct result of the moral, cultural, and spiritual collapse within the nation of Israel, we must not overlook this aspect in the case of our current day’s disaster.
The inner division within Israel today has, no doubt, encouraged our enemies to carry out their vicious plan. They even admitted that in their interrogations.
There is a powerful and loud minority in Israel. It is well-funded and skillfully communicates its agenda as it owns most media outlets and advertising agencies.
The flagship theme of that minority is that God, the Bible, and the Jewish faith are the reason for all of Israel’s problems. They don’t see a strong spiritual connection to the land of their forefathers nor do they see the amazingly obvious miracles (which were predicted by the prophets of Israel) that led to the birth of the state of Israel in 1948.
These people want a liberal, secular, and progressive society. Democracy is a word they often use, but in reality they won’t respect/accept the will of the majority as long as it contradicts theirs. Their idea of democracy is that a legally elected government by a legally elected parliament must not do anything against the will of the liberal packed supreme court.
In other words - a non-elected supreme court is their God.
These people are the “deep state” and they hold powerful positions within government offices, the IDF, the Israeli police, our secret services, and our security establishment, as well as the media and academia.
They were incredibly threatened by the judicial reform that was about to fix my country’s sick reality, and are completely willing to bring the nation down as long as they don’t lose their powerhouses.
So, yes, God has allowed October 7th to happen. But much of the responsibility for what happened is on the shoulders of these people. Now it’s up to the rest of the nation to either capitulate to them or to vomit this ill phenomena from among us!
This situation is the reality in many other western countries, as well. And prayer is the most effective weapon!
In our fallen world we are called to be a light and the salt of the earth. We are called to spread the gospel and announce that there is hope! It’s not found in democracy, capitalism, socialism, or any other “ism” you may think of.
Our hope is in the Lord.
“For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior”

Oh I agree, not only that if it is not a portion size it doesn't count either, no matter how many skinny pieces you cut. Plus anything crunchy, crunchy things don't count either.
Re Gaza, I shared a short vid a while back of how they plan to herd the “Palestinians” towards the pier we were building and have them vacate that way to places like Egypt where they would set up camps. Then they will be divided up and sent to guess where. I will give you 3 guesses, and they will all be right.

Stromboli Calzone
Both calzones and stromboli are pizza derivatives. They utilize the same ingredients to achieve different versions of a sealed, portable pizza. There’s pizza dough, cheese, and fillings. Sometimes there’s sauce. We’ll get into that in a second. Here’s how they’re different:
The Sealing Technique
The major difference between a calzone and a stromboli is how they are sealed. If you wanted a very straightford comparison, here you go: a calzone is like a taco, and a stromboli is like a burrito. Tacos and calzones are always folded. Burritos and stromboli are always rolled. You seal a calzone by folding it in half and crimping the edges. You seal a stromboli by rolling it in a spiral and folding some extra dough back over the stromboli. Both get an egg wash to make sure the dough stays out.
The Shape and Size
The different sealing techniques mean that calzones and stromboli start as different shapes. When shaping dough for a calzone, you shape a circle. The folded circle creates a small half-circle. Calzones are generally single serving.
When you shape dough to make a stromboli, you shape an elongated rectangle. The rectangle is rolled to create a long, skinny, cylindrical pizza cigar. Stromboli is meant to be sliced for multiple people.
The Origin
Another difference is where they come from. Calzones are Italian. Actually, legitimately, 100%-certified, Italian. They originated in Naples as a casual, standing-on-the-street way of eating pizza, and they vary in terms of ingredients and techniques in different regions in Italy.
Stromboli is Italian-American. It originated in Philadelphia, from the depths of the Italian-heavy neighborhood of South Philly. It was named after the Italian Isle of Stromboli. On the Isle of Stromboli, there’s a giant volcano called Mt. Stromboli. If that doesn’t get you stoked to be alive, I don’t really think I can help you.
The Fillings
There’s a lot of crossover in the filling category. Ingredients like cured meats, vegetables, and herbs can be used in both calzones and stromboli, but there are two things that set them apart. Calzones use ricotta cheese, and stromboli does not. Stromboli is made with mozzarella cheese (preferably low-moisture) to keep moisture at a minimum. This helps the interior dough cook fully. Calzones usually use a blend of cheese that almost always incorporates ricotta.
And then there’s sauce. Calzones never have tomato sauce inside the dough. They’re always dipped. While stromboli is also dip-able, it’s totally cool to put some sauce inside stromboli, pre-roll.
Whether you’re team stromboli or team calzone, these distinctions shouldn’t inspire hate. We’re here to appreciate the differences, not yell about them. This whole thing is about growing as human beings. And finding ways to eat more pizza.

Calzone recipe

Culinary Corner - Pt three
AirFryer 2 Ingredient pizza dough Calzones
Two Ingredient Dough:
* 1 ½ cups self-rising flour, plus more for kneading
* 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
Directions
1. Mix flour and Greek yogurt together in a bowl; transfer to a work surface floured with self-rising flour. Knead dough, adding more flour as needed to keep dough from being too sticky, 8 to 10 minutes.
2. Preheat an air fryer to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) according to manufacturer’s instructions. Spray the bottom of the basket with cooking spray.
3. Divide dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece on a lightly floured work surface into a flat circle, about 1/8-inch thick. Add fillings, fold/crimp
4. Transfer calzones to the air fryer basket (you might need to work in batches). Cook for 4 minutes, then flip the calzone over and cook until golden brown, 4 to 5 minutes more.
Excellent ones!
Need to reseed my yellow squash and beets

LOL. Not much fishing but soon he will be.
Hello CB.
Yes I’ve started in earnest but lately have been hindered by other things (work and tax surprises I have to deal with). Reminds me of Nehemiah whose work to build Jerusalem kept getting hindered.
It’s OK. It’s God’s work not mine, the trials of our faith works patience, and as he says, “It is already finished”, and the manifestation will come soon enough.
God bless.
Pics didn’t come through...
Work? Just because they have a wonderful climate on the beautiful Mediterranean Sea doesn’t mean that the people should work and get off handouts from the rest of the world. /s
I hope you’re keeping well, all things considered.
More so, really. I was thinking about Enoch lately and how he walked with God in the midst of such evil that soon God had to destroy the earth with a flood, save Noah and his family.
The Bible says we are living in those same kind of days now. And in the midst of the chaos, I feel like I'm learning to "walk with God." How? (I'll try to keep it brief.)
How do you walk with God?
On the 7th day of creation, God rested and the 7th day is the only day that there's no record of the 7th day ending like the first 6 days. Hebrews Chapter Four says there remains a rest for God's people - the Promised land of Rest that we should "labor" to enter. "Labor to enter rest" - that's a good one.
So resting in Him is a big deal. Couple that with, "the works were finished from the foundation of the world" (Heb. 4:3) and other scripture like, "he has chosen us before the foundation of the world" (Eph. 1:4), and Christ "was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you" (1 Peter 1:20).
Couple all of that with "This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it" (Psalms 118:24). What does it mean that "this is the day the Lord has made"? Is that just that the sun comes up and the birds fly around? I think it means that before the foundation of the world, the Lord finished the works for each one of us individually (it's a God thing). All we have to do is rest and flow in his finished works. Like sitting in a kayak (resting) while flowing down the river (moving).
So every morning now I pray, "Lord, by you grace may I rest, walk, flow, rejoice, and be glad in the finished works you have for me today". For me right now, it's baby steps. But it is wonderful.
So a long answer to your short question.
