It’s not made to sustain seas of 3 ft. or more. The design is really intended for use in protected (say, by a breakwater) waters. Use in this location was just nuts. The “What’s Going On With Shipping” You Tube Channel is covering this well, and predicted likely problems in even moderate weather.
