Howdy, Kathy.

It wasn’t a very pretty start to the day up there but it’s pretty now with some blue sky and sunshine between the big puffy clouds.

Yes, the later part of the day became very nice.

About after 3:00PM was when it started clearing up.

Howdy, luvie.

We don’t have pretty days ahead until the middle of next week. There was rain everywhere BUT HERE so I mowed the yard at the old house after I dropped Shags off at the vet late this afternoon.
With all the trees in that yard, there are a gazillion cicadas and a lot took turns riding with me today. LOL That was a different mowing experience, and fun.

LOL! How nice that you had some “ride-alongs” to keep you company. Sounds like you got a lot done...and now it can rain to its heart’s content. Send your leftovers to me? ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Howdy, PRO!

No really big plans this weekend. I’m going to a get-together with the group of friends I’ve hung out with for years Sat. night. We haven’t gotten together in a while.

Monday’s what I’m looking forward to if it doesn’t get rained/stormed out. Our county seat is holding a Memorial Day ceremony that morning and that’s always a nice ceremony.
The Republican women’s group also helps serve some food and drinks afterwards.

Anything going on up your way?

They sat on my hands and arms, sat on my lap, one sat next to the throttle on the mower almost the whole time I mowed, and one sat on my shoulder for a while. That one startled me when it screamed in my ear because I didn’t know it was there. Man, it was loud!

I was only going to do the font yard but I went ahead and did the whole thing. Now I’m a bit sore.
I honestly wish it wouldn’t rain because I don’t want the grass to grow for a while. LOL But the corn needs a drink.

I’m sure folks in the NW part of the state wouldn’t mind sharing some rain with you. Some areas up there got 6 to 7 inches yesterday! I don’t know how much they got today. They don’t need any more, that’s for sure.

And I got nothin’ here either day.

I would be totally creeped out if even ONE of those suckers sat anywhere on me, much less all over. EEEEEEEEE. ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ

There’s sort of a conflict of interest there. The farmers want more rain for their beautiful crops...radu is sick and tired of mowing. LOL!

Meanwhile, we’re spending a fortune ๐Ÿ’ฐ on water AND the AC going all the time.

LOL! They weren’t all sitting on me at once. They took turns. Just the one on the mower and the one on my shoulder stuck around a while.

I am VERY tired of mowing. If it was just the yard here, it wouldn’t be so bad. There’s just so much to mow and I can only do so much at a time. I overdid it today but at least it’s all done.
For now. LOL

We’ve never watered the yards, even during long dry spells. If it isn’t raining, the well isn’t being replenished.
But run the AC? You betcha! The house isn’t cold. Just cool enough to be comfy while sitting. Doing something like vacuuming, mopping, etc. will work up a little sweat.

Oooooooo, how pretty!!

No, the brood here has red eyes.

I didn’t see any of the regular annual ones today. They’re blah.

Good evening, radu...crazy day for you? Weather weirdness? Hope you didn’t get really bad winds.

Guess what? We got 1/10” of rain overnight, but the timing was good. The lawn guys had been here earlier, so the freshly cleaned and mowed lawn got a drink...not a huge one, but a nice one.
