Hai Kathy! (((Hugs))) my new slimline pc arrived today - my bro is coming over to set it up, he’ll remove Win11 and put on Win7 Home Premium. It’s really slick. It’s a Toshiba and really looks nice. Hope this will end my pc problems.

At least you got in a good nap to make up for it. :-)

It was a so-so day. Made a quick store run before the rain got here - that never got here. LOL Missed me by a mile or so.
Another chance tomorrow - and the next day and the next day .....

Moving some small furniture around has been at the bottom of my list for a year.
Now is the time to do it. I can work a bit and rest a bit, repeating again and again, til I get what I what where.
Hopefully without hurting anything. LOL!

I have to wonder about the radars. I’ve checked three different ones and all show rain over the whole city and into the mountains. They obviously lie. :-(

It’s always good to have a nap. I’m addicted to them. It helps me to be able to stay up late. LOL!

Dang that you rushed for nothing, but maybe it’ll rain next time. How tall is the corn now?

I never understood people taking naps but apparently a lot of people do it. Hubby did. If I take one, it’s because I’m extremely sick and that’s a rare occurrence, thank goodness.

The radar showed rain and an ugly storm moving this way so I made a run for it. Got home, put stuff away, then checked the Tullahoma cam where I could see a wall cloud. Went outside and the sky looked more impressive, and ugly, from here. Stayed outside because it felt good and several minutes later I heard the wind whooshing in.
And that’s all I got. LOL It scooted past the farm just a mile or so away and even though the radar showed rain here, there wasn’t a drop.

The radars lie a lot these days.

Tomorrow is supposed to be pretty much like today with rain and storms. That’s pretty much going to be the story for the next several days.

I turned on the Tullahoma cam this afternoon and it was very overcast and angry-looking. I also heard a train really close by the cam....no doubt behind it. Wish it faced the train. I love trains.

Glad the wind only whooshed by and didn’t do anything dangerous.

They show scattered rain still moving that direction. Maybe some are for real and you’ll get something before the night’s over. I know it’s frustrating.

It was really ugly from here. The sky was black. There wasn’t much rain with it though. It just rained a couple of minutes in town and that was it.

The audio on the cam is turned waaaaaaaay down. The RR tracks are maybe 50 feet from the pole the cam is on. The tracks are farther from my house and the train horns are louder here, inside the house, than they are on that cam.
Something must be wrong with the tracks close by. Every train that went through here this afternoon went at a snail’s pace. I haven’t heard any tonight and that’s unusual. That’s a main north-south artery.

The wind wasn’t strong enough to do damage, fortunately. But it was strong enough I could hear it coming. It did feel good and I stayed out there a couple of minutes letting it shove me around a little. LOL

A very pleasant good Thursday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.

Yesterday at Wichita Ridge:

Watching for storms later today. There's a few on the radar right now.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

Gizmo had a good time yesterday - - smelly spots! LOL

It looks like you might get missed by the storm closest to you, but not by much. I wish you luck getting through the rest of the day without getting clobbered.

I’m past ready for this stormy weather to stop. How ‘bout you?

Being shoved around by the wind is not my idea of a good time. LOL! But glad you seemed to enjoy it.

I hope there hasn’t been an accident with a train if they are MIA tonight.

((LOL))Yep, I think we’re all already getting severe weather fatigue. Time to move on to those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer.

Look to the Skies

Bible in a Year :

The heavens declare the glory of God.

Psalm 19:1

Alex Smalley wants everyone to wake up earlier—or perhaps pause more at day’s end. Why? To gaze at sunrises and sunsets. Those fleeting moments are the most beautiful, awe-inspiring times of the day, according to Smalley, the lead researcher of a British study on awe-inducing weather effects. Even more than blue skies or glittering nightscapes, a stunning sunrise or sunset can improve mood, increase positive emotions, and decrease stress. Smalley says, “When you see something vast and overwhelming or something that produces this feeling of awe, your own problems can feel diminished and so you don’t worry so much about them.”

His findings on wonder echo those of the prophet Jeremiah: “Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you” (Jeremiah 32:17).

King David also beheld God’s creation, declaring, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge” (Psalm 19:1-2). As for the sun, “It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth” (v. 6). God’s glorious creation reflects the all-powerful Creator. Why not take time today to look to the skies and marvel in Him!

Reflect & Pray

Where is your favorite place to view a sunrise or sunset? When you behold the heavens, what do you discover about God?

In Your glorious heavens, Father, You show me the wonder of Your power.
