The United Nations confirmed Saturday that 800,000 Palestinians have left the town of Rafah, in southern Gaza, as Israel begins its attack on Hamas battalions there.
Philippe Lazzarini, the commissioner-general of the controversial United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), announced the number of evacuees — and warned of the risks they face.
The number of evacuees far exceeds the estimates that were discussed in advance of the Israeli operation, which began on May 6, amid U.S. opposition.
The Biden administration warned that an attack on Rafah could cause civilian casualties there.

I watched Victor Hansen Davis last night, he explained how Carthage, Constantinople, Thebes and the Aztec Kingdom were wiped out. Sometimes, when war starts, there is no logic. Options to negotiate evaporate and consequences are the result of years and years of ignoring the problem.

How can there possibly be 800,000 left? According to MSM and know-it-all college students everywhere, Israel has killed them all already. Can’t have it both ways, UN.
I suspect they're already being flown into the U.S. secretly under cover of darkness.

When I see the UN is involved, especially the UNRWA, I stop reading. If I don’t know what the UN is saying it can be ignored. If I hear the UN’s perspective, I tend to assume the opposite. It’s a failing of mine which I believe is totally justified.
Half the fighting age men are probably Hamas in disguise so they can attack from the rear.
Well, this could be a good thing. We know that 70% of gazans voted Hamas into power and cheered on their rape and murder. We also know that UN lies routinely about pretty much anything. So, I suggest that the real number is ~400k. That might, let’s try some optimism here, be the 30% of non-monstrous gazans that ought to be getting themselves out of the war zone started and sustained by their neighbors.
So, that means that the ones remaining are all Hamas and their supporters.
Free-fire zone for IDF. Shoot everything that moves and make sure they will not need an ambulance.
