The man convicted of attempting to kidnap then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and attacking her husband with a hammer was sentenced Friday to 30 years in prison.
Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley handed down the sentence for David DePape, 44, whom jurors found guilty last November of attempted kidnapping of a federal official and assault on the immediate family member of a federal official. Prosecutors had asked for a 40-year prison term.
DePape admitted during trial testimony that he broke into the Pelosis’ San Francisco home Oct. 28, 2022, intending to hold the speaker hostage and “break her kneecaps” if she lied to him. He also admitted to bludgeoning Paul Pelosi with a hammer after police showed up, saying his plan to end what he viewed as government corruption was unraveling. The attack on Paul Pelosi, who was 82 at the time, was captured on police body camera video just days before the midterm elections and sent shockwaves through the political world.

And also, how an illegal immigrant shot and killed a young woman in San Francisco, and was set free, and another illegal immigrant brutally attacked her husband, but her survived, and he gets imprisoned.
Seems excessive compared to other similar crimes
He’ll be out in 18 months and back to underwear hammer foreplay with Paul Pelosi again.
True that. The felon angle will add to the kink. Not even the Village People costumes included a prison suit.
in about five minutes in walked a man
Holding the verdict in his right hand
The verdict read in the first degree
I hollered, “Lawdy Lawdy, have mercy on me”
The judge, he smiled as he picked up his pen
99 years in the Folsom pen
99 years underneath that ground
I can’t forget the day I shot that bad bitch down
really surprised to see the hammer get a jury trial.
I guess they’ve scrubbed all the home security video?
Wasn’t the broken glass on the outside? That would indicate someone breaking out, not in. Weren’t they both in their underwear? That implies that at least in the beginning, the guy was welcome.
Good points; A two tier legal process, depending on what party you belong to + the size of your financial portfolio.
Side Note: When that incident occurred, I always found it curious that whenever the media referred to Dave DePape
aka (The Big Bopper) they always used the same two or three photos. Usually, they only used one, that one shot below his eye level, showing his sneer, his skimpy moustache, dirty hair and the neckbeard. Then another with him attending the nudist wedding of his friend Gypsy Taub. Not much else, showing expression.
I don’t think there were any photos showing him in the courtroom. There is something about Depape Nancy doesn’t want us to see or think about.
Is he developmentally delayed? Is that what she wants hidden?
Even when Paul Pelosi isn’t drinking, he’s getting hammered.
He had a trial. If that were true, he would have added that to the trial. The jury would have known this.
HAR!
nanner hammered too.
I agree.
Just like his DUI fell off the radar almost entirely.
Certain politicians have a “get out of jail free” card. They are almost all Democrats of course.
Republicans like Mike Johnson, if they play along and are a good boy can get one too.
Sing fella.
“”””Wasn’t the broken glass on the outside? That would indicate someone breaking out, not in. Weren’t they both in their underwear? That implies that at least in the beginning, the guy was welcome.””””
Completely wrong, that was the fake stuff some sites pushed out at first.
Sounds like Nanc had put pressure on the prosecution. Maybe Paul was getting involved with a little side activity and things got rough and Paul wasn’t fast enough.
If he knows anything he may suddenly be filled with remorse and stab himself in the back with a shiv-—20 times.
First a riddle:
Who wears six shoes and a bra?
Answer on bottom of post.
It’s the hammer of justice
It’s the bell of freedom
It’s a song about love between
My brothers and my sisters
All over this land.
Funny riddle.
