Vance is actually a conservative with high scores so I hope these reports are true.
less so Tim Scott.
Ditto that.
In this election it is critical to look at the VP candidates on both sides because it would be a good bet that they will be President before the term is over. 80+ year old men have a pretty high likelihood of death over the next four years. It is much higher than zero (It’s about 10% per year.)
Vance seems like a smart guy. Scott always struck me as a little dim.
No No No to Tim Scott. He has stabbed Trump in the back before. He is McConnell’s way into the Trump Presidency to cause mischief. He isn’t liked by black people either.
JD is a good choice.
Actually Trump should pick a regular person as a VP, not some congressional twit that will likely be like Pence in the end.
I don’t know enough about either man, especially Scott. I’ve liked what I’ve heard from Vance so far.
Exactly. Vance is smarter and far more articulate than Tim. Byron Donalds towers over Tim, for that matter.
Which one is the better attack dog?
Trump should take Scott and Bergum into his cabinet if possible. Anything he can announce favorably prior to voting would be smart.
The ONLY criteria that matters is: Does the VP choice help bring in more votes?
JDV - no
Burgum - no
Scott - maybe
VP choices that will bring in MORE votes:
Sarah Sanders
Tulsi
Vivek
Stefanik
Donalds
If we don’t win the election in November, it doesn’t matter about the VP’s ideology, administrative expertise, or grooming them for 2028.
I like Vance a lot but does he get Trump any new votes ?
Scott is a doofus.
If Trump picks him, he’s pandering.
I like Byron Donald ( spelled wrong I know). He has the grit and smarts to be more effective than Traitor Pence.
NO! He will turn on Trump as soon as he can! PLUS...HE IS NOT PRESIDENTIAL material!
Vance is not a traditional conservative, and will further alienate the base the Trump is going to need to win.
Vance has a different view of economics that the old school GOP. More in line with Trump.
I like this pick, but there are negatives in what will be a razor thin election at best.
Tim Scott is a very poor choice, if you want someone who can think and support the right stuff.
Didn’t Tim Scott ENCOURAGE the Trump impeachments, saying it was best to get the question reviewed and decided?
The guy is missing a brain.
Whatever Trumo does he has to remember it is not a GOP primary nod he is now running for; it’s a general election where the victory margin in some important states is going to be thin, meaning his appeal will have to grow wider than the GOP base.
An outsider not another POS politician.
Gentle Ben is the smart choice
The Hill knows nothing.
I like Vance, but I wonder about Tommy Tuberville, Senator from Alabama. He was with President Trump last night, don’t know much about him.
