Donald Trump’s Manhattan “hush money” trial has been the place for prominent Republicans to see and be seen in recent days — with some hoping the 45th president will remember their loyalty if he gets elected the 47th president this fall, sources tell The Post.
On Tuesday, Trump was flanked by former 2024 primary rivals Vivek Ramaswamy and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, as well as House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and a pair of Florida GOP congressmen, Byron Donalds and Cory Mills.
Other boldface political names to swing by Manhattan Criminal Court include Sens. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), and Rick Scott (R-Fla.) as well as Staten Island Rep. Nicole Malliotakis.
“It is about paying homage to Trump and positioning themselves for something should he win in November,” one person close to the Republican National Committee said Tuesday

I’ve never had the desire to spend a minute in New York. Plus any money you spend there helps fuel their “Justus” legal system. No thanks.
Yes this! I’ll be happily voting Trump this November, but we have to be concerned about all the things you listed & winning offices across the country in order for the President to have a chance at changing things. It’s not all about Trump. Why can’t so many of our voters understand something so simple & verifiable?
If we were paying more attention to illegal immigration, voting laws & turning out for elections, we wouldn’t have an open border, refusal to enforce voting laws & nervousness about elections. For every voter saying they only care about Trump, what the heck is your plan after him? MAGA voter campaign strategy (or lack thereof) is getting close to being as bad as establishment Republicans were. Does anyone on our side know what they’re doing?
For every freaking idiot saying they’re quitting the Republican Party instead of changing it. What is your plan after that? Are you more worried about throwing tantrums or getting the most conservative person elected to offices? Have you thought about whether another party has a shot? Does that matter? Is a moderate conservative that votes with us 70% of the just as bad as a Democrat that votes with us 0% of the time? If you were being realistic about districts, etc. that are made up of majorities of centrist or non conservative voter, should we still run staunch conservatives in those areas (knowing that they’ll likely lose)? I’d love to know the thought process! Historically we thought ahead, tried to elect staunch conservatives (but were realistic about moderate or liberal areas) & always tried to work together to accomplish goals 🫤
Thanks, “…person close to the RNC,” you wretched POS. How about “it’s a show of solidarity in the face of a politically-motivated prosecution.”
Republicans could not be worse at messaging. What I just said should be the message. I’m hoping Johnson gets the message that victory entails relentlessly getting your message out and winning the people over. You can never win as one of a long line of republicans who don’t message and, when the rats tell them “no” to conservative policy preferences, just fold each and every time as if there is no way around “no”
“Do you think Trump likes my tropical flower array better than the 3 dozen yellow roses I planned? I was tied up in knots trying to decide.”
“Me, too. I got choked up yelling ‘We love you.’”
Elizabeth Vargas on News Nation was laughing about the red ties and matching suits looking like a glee club.
Did Trump actually see each invoice for each check?
And I want to see the lawfare legal system perps and the smirking leftist media ghouls turn into a pillar of salt.
No, they were guilted into it. Trump whined about not seeing enough support at the courthouse, and sure enough, VP contenders rush up, pretend to care, in the hopes Trump would see them as “loyal”. This is what the party has become. Pathetic.
LOL.. Yet Johnson continues to fund the political persecution of DJT led by Jack Smith. But I’m sure you applaud all those strongly worded letters the feckless GOP sends out
I was going to say, I read that two or three times, hoping that I would finally read defunding instead of defending. I finally moved on where I finally read it correctly. 🤣
The "trial" is a Democrat Party campaign ad produced to appear as a trial.
The "trial" is a crime: The judge and prosecutor should be arrested for fraud.
The leftist/"Democrat" money flowing into the production, escapes Campaign Finance regulations plus donation reporting requirements.
no prob....my fault but like i said- damn auto spell...
I know. I was being facetious.
The campaign ad masquerading as a trial…and by which the campaign skirts the campaign finance laws.
Oh no, I just thought it was funny thinking I was reading it wrong. My eyes are not good, which is why I think I am seeing the wrong word. Not your fault. We almost all make typing mistakes, I just turn off autocorrect for that reason. Because it rarely corrects correctly anyway. 🤣
“Speaker Mike” hoping for a veep nod?
