“One sold like hotcakes despite the steep pricing, currently at $128,000”
And it doesn’t look all-weather capable.

With EV batteries being the closest thing to a time bomb you can buy, flying one around puts you in the Darwin Award running.

Better wear a helmet. A bird strike would be nasty.

“The Jetson One is compatible with a maximum pilot weight of 210 lbs (95 kg) and is designed to fly for approximately 20 minutes at a time. Its top speed is software-limited to 63 kph (sic) (102 kph)”
Jetson One AKA “useless extravagance “

It's basically for hobbyists at this point (who hopefully have their insurance paid up).
Max speed is said to be 63mph but all the videos I've seen show them moving much slower.
Max height is said to be 1,500 meters but in all the videos I've seen, there are no more than 20 feet off the ground and for good reason, falling out of the sky in this contraption from a height above that will almost certainly be fatal.
20 minute max "flight time" which again, makes it in no way a practical vehicle at the speeds and heights previously mentioned.
It's for hobbyists and daredevil enthusiasts at this point.
But you have to start somewhere, I guess.

Jetson also plans to expand to the US this year, which makes sense considering that a big chunk of the existing pre-orders came from customers all across America. Right now, the entire 2024 and 2025 production is sold out

$8,000 down.

” It doesn’t require a pilot’s license in the US”
So the idiots I see running red lights and stop signs are going to be able to fly? They’ll kill themselves and someone else. Get a pilots license.

I’m partial to the Black Fly. However, I think these contraptions need light weight ballistic parachutes
