Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Monday said she supports Democrat efforts to keep Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) in power.
Pelosi said she backs House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries’s plot to keep Johnson as the Speaker of the House.
Pelosi said that they are backing Johnson to “support the integrity of the House of Representatives and will not let it be littered up by nonsense.”

Pelosi’s comments come as the Speaker faces a motion from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) to remove him as the leader of the House. Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Paul Gosar (R-AZ) have backed Greene’s motion.

Should be the kiss of death among Congressional GOP members, but the majority of them are likely to support Pelosi’s stand. It’s one of the reasons I left the GOP, and will never register in that party again.

Johnson has done some things right, and some things horribly wrong, but everyone is stabbing him in the back. The MAGAs are mad because he didn’t come through on his anti-Biden promises; the GOPe want him diminished so they can continue in their “assistant Democrat/take the money and run” role; the Dems want to make him their b*tch just to show everyone who really has the power in the House, without actually taking over the House—yet.
And all this is out there for the world to see, whether or not MTG files to remove him as Speaker, so we’ve already lost even if she shuts up and goes back to her corner.
Pick your battles. Instead of beating up on Johnson, which isn’t going to get us anything, get behind Trump. We can deal with our own when we have enough power that we can afford it, and that time has not yet come.

I quit voting.....a 2-3 years ago. I live in OK....my lone vote doesn’t matter. It’s obvious to me there is just a Uniparty anyway.

No offense but you sound like you’re new to politics. For the past 25 years we’ve been told to pick your battles, wait for this, wait for that, we have the house but cant do anything without the senate, we have the senate but not the house, wait. We have congress but not the presidency, wait. Meanwhile, 34 trillion in debt, open borders, endless wars...
My third vote for President Trump will be in November. I'm not voting for my first-term GOP Congressman Brandon Williams this Fall as he blew the chance I gave him when he ran in 2022, and chose to vote repeatedly to send money to Ukraine, voted for Schumer's expenditure Bill, and voted twice to keep FISA. Once this election is over, I won't be voting again either.
