NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Mick Jagger briefly waded into Louisiana politics, taking a verbal jab at the state’s conservative governor, as The Rolling Stones performed at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
The band had finished “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” during Thursday evening’s set when Jagger began talking about inclusion, according to New Orleans news outlets. “We want to include him too,” Jagger said of Gov. Jeff Landry. “Even if he wants to take us back to the Stone Age.”

Frankly, this swan song cash in tour should never have happened. They are not “the greatest” band in rock. Not by many miles.
I liked the Stones back in the day but seriously who wants to watch some 80 y/o man prancing around on stage? I mean haven’t they made enough money that they could find something better to do with their remaining time on earth? Just seems super weird having a bunch of elderly clowns making fools of themselves. Even worse are the suckers who would pay good money to see them.
Why are rock-n-roll and movie stars seemingly all such superficial and virtue-signaling public leftists?
Because with stardom comes unavoidable sexual excess, hedonism, drug-addiction, ego-worship. They all understand at some level, how empty and destructive it is to them, and everyone around them
They compensate with (shallow) public displays of their righteousness, in an attempt to prove to themselves they are really virtuous people.

I think Mick Jagger should make some comments on the complete destruction of his own country.
None of your comments will have any effect on his popularity. The best response should come from the governor. He should be the one to say ‘shut up and sing’.
