If we try to restrict abortion, then Democrats will put unlimited abortion on the ballot.

Not because they think it will pass, but in order to maximize the number of Dem women showing up.

ever notice they never let you actually see what happens to a fetus or a baby in an abortion.

Put up a picture of that and you get that taken right down.

They don’t want that picture in their heads.

Any state that has it on the ballot will likely have Democrats winning. I’m not sure how or if they can neutralize the issue.

Article I, Section 22 The Right to Reproductive Freedom with Protections for Health and Safety
Ohio Constitution

A. Every individual has a right to make and carry out one’s own reproductive decisions, including but not limited to decisions on:

1. contraception;

2. fertility treatment;

3. continuing one’s own pregnancy;

4. miscarriage care; and

5. abortion.

B. The State shall not, directly or indirectly, burden, penalize, prohibit, interfere with, or discriminate against either:

1. An individual’s voluntary exercise of this right or

2. A person or entity that assists an individual exercising this right,

unless the State demonstrates that it is using the least restrictive means to advance the individual’s health in accordance with widely accepted and evidence-based standards of care.

However, abortion may be prohibited after fetal viability. But in no case may such an abortion be prohibited if in the professional judgment of the pregnant patient’s treating physician it is necessary to protect the pregnant patient’s life or health.

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I’m not a lawyer, but as I read the above an individual MINOR has the right to make his or her own reproductive decision, which would include the decision to reproduce with an ADULT, and the state can’t do anything to stop the MINOR or the ADULT.

I wonder if that consequence was intended or unintended and when someone will press the issue.

“Florida voters will be asked come November 5 to weigh in on a state constitutional amendment declaring, “No law shall prohibit, penalize, delay, or restrict abortion...”

The wording makes one wonder...
If a voter is against such legislation, does one vote “no”, or “yes”

These bass turds are too clever by half

Eleven states could see abortion through all nine months of pregnancy enshrined in their state constitutions this November.

Title must have been changed.

I predicted this would happen last November.

I still believe that abortion is a one-and-done issue.

The electoral impacts in the aftermath of overturning Roe is short-term. Once the red and blue states have acted on their ballot initiatives post-Roe, the issue will fade electorally unless the left can concoct ongoing reasons to relitigate the issue election after election. Worst case is a state passes a 15-week ban, then they push for a 16-week ban in the next election, then a 17-week ban in the next, and repeat after each election cycle.

Still, the immediate win is that we no longer speak about abortion as a "right." It is now up to each state to pass laws regulating it.

This is beginning to look like the finale of a fireworks display. The left is shooting all of their abortion claims at once because they fear control is slipping away.
