MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said Thursday on his show “Morning Joe” that viewers should change the channel if they were too stupid to realize that the protests on college campuses are hurting President Joe Biden’s chances of winning in November.
Discussing the Vietnam War protests, Scarborough said, “I was young and remember my parents asking, what in the world is going on in this country? And, of course, you know, they were raised in the Great Depression and rural Georgia. It was kind of hard for them to hear rich kids on the campus of Harvard are taking over or taking over campuses at Columbia.”
He continued, “If you’re offended by this, please, I’m trying to help you. I don’t want Donald Trump to get elected. All right? I’m trying to help you. If you’re too stupid to figure that out, you can change to another channel. Because we’re sorting through this as a country. And this is not helping. This is not helping the people of Gaza. And this is not helping those of us who want to fight fascism in America.”

Why and how that man is still on the television screen completely escapes me.

Hence Joe-scar’s allusion to the primacy of the election (i.e., “never mind the palestinians for now; we’ll get back to that after the election”).
The protesters are willing to let Trump win in 2024, if in the process they can seize effective control of the Democrat Party long-term.

I don’t get the connection. Is he talking about changing from the channel HE’S on? I’m not sure it would even make sense in that context. It’s certainly the “TOO STUPID” people who are watching him to begin with...

Well duh of course it’s hurting Biden. I just watched a video of that clown James Carvel freaking out saying these protests are going to lead to Trump winning unless they cut it out. This is causing a huge issue for the Dems.
If one is stupid enough to watch joe and mika they’re too stupid to change the channel.
What they are terrified of is even remotely looking like they need to send troops to EU, Israel, China etc.
Every time in the last 50 years we have entered a conflict, it has ALWAYS been the Democrats that broach the idea of a “draft.” This time they will most likely pull that string. Recruitment is way, way down. No one wants to fight a Joe Biden war campaign. We’re pulling troops out of far reaching places and it is happening under the radar. Special forces are being pulled and very few are even talking about it.
Scarborough is correct. A violent summer ...another “Spring” event is not what the democrats want or need. But I dare say the genie is out of the bottle in hundreds of ways beyond the campus.
No one, even democrats, trust this current iteration of our United States government. It is not only bad for Biden, it is bad for our country. We have long been concerned over a left/right civil war. I somehow don’t think it is going to be a left/right event.
Right now though, we on the right need to sit back and let this all unfold. The Biden team knows if he has riots like what happened during George Floyd, it is over not only for him, but for the nation.
It’s like saying “If you’re too stupid to see that this DUI charge is going to affect our future ability to drive home drunk from the bar in the future, then you should quit doing shots.”
The Morning Joke and “STUPID” are a natural.
That alone is plenty of reason to be changing the channel. If Mika is speaking, that’s even more reason.
