The report by the Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll found older voters supported Israel more than younger voters, with 90% of voters over the age of 54 claiming they support Israel over Hamas, compared to 57% of respondents aged 18-24..
Many Americans support Israel over the terrorist organization Hamas in a poll released on Monday, with 80% of respondents saying they support Israel more in the conflict.
The poll comes as anti-Israel groups hunker down at dozens of colleges and universities nationwide. The groups have been protesting over the war, with students calling for their schools to cut financial ties with Israel, and divest from companies that have helped Israel. There have also been threats made against Jewish students.
The report by the Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll found older voters supported Israel more than younger voters, with over 90% of voters older than 54 claiming they support Israel over Hamas. Among voters aged 45 to 54, 85% said they support Israel, and three quarters of the next bracket down said the same. But among younger voters aged 18-24, just 57% said they support Israel, and 64% of voters 25 to 34 said the same.
Mark Penn, the co-director of the study, said the poll showed the protests were not in line with broader views of the conflict nationwide, according to The Hill. He also noted that the protests did not change the support for Israel, after a poll last month showed similar numbers. In last month's poll, 79% of respondents supported Israel.
The poll also showed that the majority of Americans (61%) only want a cease-fire if Hamas is removed from power and the hostages it took are freed. However, 39% support an unconditional cease-fire.
The cease-fire was also broken down by age, where more than half of young voters aged 18-34 want the unconditional ceasefire. Older Americans said they support the cease-fire if hostages are freed and without Hamas in power.
The Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll survey was conducted from April 24-25 and polled 1,961 registered voters. The survey had a margin of error of plus or minus two percent.
BTTT
I’m going to go out on a limb and say The majority of the “students“ protesting at the various colleges and universities are not actually students, rather, paid protesters similar to what we saw in 2020. It may have started out as some locals, then well organized, and paid groups moved in and took over.

Israel has its faults, as do we. But a country like them, in the middle of those that surround them on all sides, is an oasis of good and right in a desert of evil.
Last night I watched the documentary LINK: Screams Before Silence - Eyewitness accounts from released hostages, survivors & first responders and the lines are clearly drawn, you are on one side, or the other.
If you side with the Palestinians, you are on the side of October 7th, of selectively and systematically raping, murdering and butchering of innocent women as a deliberate act of warfare. You are on the side of people who support shooting women through their breasts or cutting them off as they are raped while alive, putting everything from pieces of wood to metal pipes into their vaginas or shooting them in the vagina before shooting them in the face, then raping them.
You are on that side if you support Hamas.
Choose your side.
80% of Americans know right from wrong, good from evil. We have 20% of people living among us who support those things that Hamas has done, and is doing.
I think that the rioters are mostly led and funded.
Who is funding them? I am going to go with George Soros, NGO’s who get Biden funding, Obama associated NGO’s, Iran sending money to support. Same people who basically supported the same ideas in the 1930’s, George Soros especially. Throw in some UN people who are making money by having the conflict continue, and you have a never ending conflict with human misery .
I don’t believe this poll. Even American Jews I know support these student protestors and Palestinians. I’d say it is more like 50-50 in this country. The Palestinian cause is very popular.
I don’t support Israel. I don’t support Hamas. Both sides have blood on their hands. They deserve each other. I do have sympathy for innocent people caught in the middle.
“ Even American Jews I know support these student protestors and Palestinians.”

Oh, so you know a number of future Kapos.
You could say that again.
They are Soros Rent-a-mob.
The 18% group need to be ID’s & put on a master list that future employers can access.
NONE OF THEM SHOULD HOLD A JOB higher than a 7-11 clerk.
Only 80% ? Sad.
Look at the tents at all of the “protests”. They are identical. As if some organization bought them and distributed them to paid bad actors.
But they make more noise and hurt people, so they matter. The 80% are just a bunch of racists./s
Exactly. Nearly every tent is the identical size in color. Sure, you may have a few different outliers, but at some point, they almost all transitions to the exact same tents.
It reminds me of the mostly peaceful, yet fiery, BLM protests in 2020. Initially they all started off as unique, different signs, clothing, styles, etc. Then, at some point, they pretty much all looked identical
