A Utah 'Karen' who went viral for pulling down a teenager's mini skirt in a St George steakhouse has been charged with sexual battery. In a viral TikTok video the woman identifies herself to a group of teenage girls as a state employee after allegedly pulling down one of their miniskirts at Sakura Japanese Steakhouse on Saturday night.
Ida Ann Lorenzo, 48, told the alleged victim that if she has to watch her 'a** cheeks hanging out again' and see her pubic hair, she would call Child Protective Services. Lorenzo later told police that she intended to file an indecent exposure report.
The alleged victim's friends can be heard defending her, telling Lorenzo she should not touch her and that she is over 18.
Lorenzo, who works for Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes, was booked into the Purgatory Correctional Facility in Hurricane on a single Class A charge of sexual battery, according to court documents filed on Wednesday. She has now been released.

The article’s headline was already written to take a side in the dispute. My take?
- the older woman should not have touched the younger woman’s skirt
- not everyone wants to see p**** and ass cheeks while dining in a restaurant.
- the public sphere belongs to all. It’s not your private bedroom or bathroom.
- skirts can be hiked up. Pulling one lower on the waist doesn’t expose more.
- a sexual assault charge is very serious. Should have resolved without police.
America is becoming more degenerate every day. This reminds me of the young woman who was kicked off a flight for wearing too short a skirt. Sadly, some FReepers only wanted to know how “hot” the lady was so as to determine guilt or innocence. It’s a sad commentary on our culture when an older woman who was trying to maintain some minimal standard of public decorum (but went too far), is the one being so roundly condemned.
Sorry (not sorry), but some people don’t want to see your p**** while trying to eat their dinner. Want to see that kind of attire? Go to a (not so) gentleman’s club.
Not only just for white women anymore. Basically, Karen is anybody that people on social media disapprove of somehow.
I do not disagree. Only wish we could know if the girl was truly exposing what the woman accused her of or not.
You mean something not right about the young girl.
It's up to the restaurant to police the customers.
Those eyes say “Helter Skelter!”
Stake that thing in the heart. Thats no Karen its friggen vampire!
Be careful what you wish for....once you relax decency codes..even if an occasional good looking women is walking around half naked..more times than not it’s a short fat women unhealthy women
with her ass hanging out.
If it’s a women!?
Mostly why I’m for no PDA.
Do whatever you do at home and put some damn close on!
A “Karen” is a nosy, holier-than-thou type who asks to see the manager or raises a public fuss when someone considered “lower” doesn’t jump to every command or agree with their point of view.
They often will post follow-up social media complaints, &/or nasty reviews in an attempt to gain sympathy and (hopefully) get the perceived offender fired or shunned.
Karens can be female or male and any color, shape or size, many tend to lean liberal and have “Hate Has No Home Here” signs prominently displayed on their front lawns.
I have not clue how to post pictures here (if anyone has the code you may share!), but this is a link to the crazy lady’s photo. Something not right about her.
You mean something not right about the young girl.
>>>> Both actually.
St. George has been all over the news the past few years with the zombie wacko Daybell trial “sex, money and power”. That’s where they met and went to church meetings. Hope he gets at the very least life without parole. The new wife Lori did but we’ll see if she gets worse in AZ. He should also be tried in AZ but they don’t have enough, IMO, to get him there. Their entire little cult needs to be charged for 4 murders. Then there’s the PAPS and AVOW members who thought Daybell was right up there with the second coming.
And the 8 Passengers Frankie and Hildebrand child abuse/torture/starvation/you name it trial just outside St. George. What the heck is going on in Utah?
Well....I found this in another article from the local paper in Utah. Much different story from the girl and her group of friends than the older woman told.
She told police “she felt cold hands go up her skirt, touching her buttocks before she felt her skirt being pulled on.”
“(The victim) and seven other witnesses came forward and all filled out witness statements that were consistent with (the victim) being approached and touched by Ida,” reads the affidavit. The woman also said she was wearing underpants and shorts over the underpants under her skirt.
But this girls eyes are bright and happy, not oddly crazed like the other one’s.
Okay, Karen.
I agree the restaurant should have jumped in when the dispute escalated, but the older woman didn’t do anything wrong until she touched the other woman’s skirt. “Put some clothes on!” Is not an inappropriate comment. It could have been handled better, but the younger woman created the issue by not dressing appropriately.
For all those saying it’s no big deal, would you want a fat slob sitting across from you, wearing shorts with his nutsack visible?
Time marches on. Karen is now jaded.
I think most men would agree that a pretty young woman is nice to look at, but whatever dress standard is applied, consider how it would look if applied to everyone. Like you wrote, what if it’s an obese, middle aged woman in sheer tights or a dude in extra short shorts? That’s far more likely than pretty young things.
If some posters are so eager to see naked young women, there are porn sites for that.
It seems unlikely the older woman would have reacted like that had the younger woman not been exposed.
She felt cold hands touching her butt, yet she was wearing panties and shorts under the skirt? Hmmmm.
