Conservative skeptics of funding the war in Ukraine predict the bill signed into law this week will be the last major U.S. aid package for Kyiv that passes.
The GOP critics of the package acknowledge that Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) won this round of the debate by pushing $61 billion for Ukraine through Congress.
But they argue that if President Biden comes back with another request, he’ll go away empty-handed.
“If Ukraine thinks that it’s getting another $60 billion supplemental out of the United States Congress, there’s no way,” said Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), who led the opposition among Senate Republicans to pouring tens of billions of more dollars into the war effort.
National security adviser Jake Sullivan said Wednesday the new military aid package for Ukraine will last through the end of the year, raising the prospect that a new infusion of weapons and funding may be needed quickly in 2025.
That could make Ukraine’s war with Russia, and U.S. support for Kyiv, a major issue in the presidential race between Biden and former President Trump and in the battles for the House and Senate.
The presidential and House races are both considered toss-ups, while Republicans are widely seen as favorites to win the Senate majority, given a highly favorable map.
“So much of what happens next depends on the outcome of the November election,” said Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.).
Sullivan said Wednesday there’s a “deep reservoir” of support for Ukraine in both parties

Supercharges Mass Migration from the Middle East’

President Joe Biden’s pro-migration border chief is opening new processing centers for Muslim migrants, amid pro-HAMAS riots in U.S. cities and just after Congress granted $3.5 billion more for migration within the $95 billion aid package for Ukraine and Israel.
“Not only did the ‘Foreign Aid’ package do nothing to secure our own border, it included $3.5 Billion to supercharge mass migration from the Middle East,” said a tweet from Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO).
The $3.5 billion was granted to the Department of State, which works with many international groups that feed and transport migrants on their way to the United States.

In the meantime....play nice so you don’t lose the house.
The Hill is gloating.
Including that is just the DC Regime rubbing your nose in it.
Like including $300 million in border security for Ukraine.
Guaranteed again by Memorial Day.
The Hill may as well be Media Matters.
Johnson may have pulled on the slot machine handle too hard this time and broke it.
Pleasant thought anyhow...
Like abuse victims, we don’t get treated any better than the worst we tolerate.
We have the government we put up with. Our money is taken and handed out to invaders and foreign governments, because we tolerate that. We are afraid our overlords might be really mean to us if we do anything to improve our situation.
If verbal and written complaining makes us feel any better, then complaining is actually making things worse.
Secure our border!
Until the next time the RINOs cave in.
Today’s undermining Trump on the low road to oblivion.....
The thing that is baffling is the guy has had the entire might of 90% of everything thrown at him-
The low road crowd tossing whiffle balls is more harmless to themselves-just see the scoreboard-one fills stadiums like a rock star while can no longer fill a ballroom.
I called everyone of Jerry Moran, republican senator from Kansas who voted yeah on the last bill, satellite office’s this afternoon and wanted to talk to someone on his staff about why he would vote yes on a bill to send my 61 billion of my federal income tax dollars to Ukraine and nothing for the people of Kansas or The United States. I went oh for five! Nobody answered, I guess the honorable senator Moran didn’t want to hear what the citizens of Kansas had to say about his decision.
Yeah, like they did last time.
LIARS.
FR thread—— Biden Admits Massively Undercounting Ukraine Aid
When conservatives in Congress pressed the Biden admin to provide the real cost of the Ukraine war in Jan 2023, the lawmakers estimated the U.S. had spent “a minimum of $114 billion.”
<><>Now, with added OMB information, Cong Vance and company estimate the current total to Ukraine amounts to at least $125 billion—$14 billion over what the OMB had previously claimed.
<><>That’s not all.....Biden could give Ukraine another $4B billion via weapons transfers from US stockpiles under Presidential Drawdown Authority.
<><>This would bring the total amount to Ukraine to $129 billion.
When Biden’s OMB got around to responding almost eight months later, the OMB claimed, through an opaque and admittedly incomplete data sheet, that Ukraine aid totaled $111 billion.
<><>“The deficiencies in OMB’s response were numerous,” said of the OMB’s Sept 2023 response.
<><>“did not account for 100’s of millions of dollars in base appropriations for Ukraine’s Security Assistance Initiative.
<><>It omitted the administration’s ‘$6.2 billion in ‘freed-up’ authority’ to send weapons to Ukraine,
<><>which meant that ‘certain numbers in OMB’s spreadsheet, as well as dollar figures the administration provided for at least some previous Ukraine-related drawdowns, are outdated.’
<><>It did not allow us to determine ‘what obligations, apportionments, and outlays the administration has undertaken for other countries in response to the Ukraine conflict.’”
Cong Vance and company concluded Biden OMB’s Sept 2023 response was “nonresponsive.” In a follow-up letter sent September 28, 2023, they added that
<><>“If OMB’s spreadsheet is to be relied on to produce such a figure—and we believe it cannot be—it is around $111 billion.
<><>It would appear likely that the data you have yet to provide would raise this figure by an indeterminate magnitude.
“Every one of these assertions has been validated,” the Tuesday letter claims. On March 8, 2024, “nearly six months after we again requested a full accounting of Ukraine spending, more than a year after our original request, and one business day before the OMB director was scheduled to testify before the Senate Budget Committee,” the letter notes, OMB finally decided to hand over “another tranche of information.” What it included was shocking.
<><>The latest OMB data to Congress revealed, according to the lawmakers’ letter,
<><>Biden failed to report at least another $684 million in appropriated Ukraine spending,
<><>left out another $900 million in DOD assistance connected to the Ukraine war,
<><>and a number of other pitfalls that has undercounted the total amount of Ukraine aid by a magnitude of billions.
There could be more, too, as lawmakers included a list of 14 probing questions and information requests in their latest correspondence with the OMB director.
No surprise—it’s not Joe Biden’s money at stake........ just the American people’s tax dollars.
I don’t believe it.
All hat, no cattle.
“And this time we MEAN it! Almost for SURE!”
No, the backstabbing Speaker of the house was instrumental.
Trump is a private citizen.
Lindsay Graham is FOS
The money is limitless.
The Debt and future detrimental effects on the Economy aren’t even allowed to be in the debate and equation.
Why would they stop spraying money or stop putting Ukraine over America?
Someone needs to watch the Video of the cheers and Congress waiving Uke flags.
