I think things like this will finish it off. What is the point in them? Apart from a handful of good guys/gals in Congress and honorable exceptions.

Conservative Republicans comprise no more than 10%-15% of the House. And even some of those are pontificating phonies. I’m not sure why anyone would be surprised at how things have played out in 2023-24.

Again, the American conservative people get screwed by Republicans. When will there ever be a conservative party in the US? Maybe it’s time the states succeeded and became independent of Washington DC.

“Party unity” gives way to the UniParty. Johnson was given a grace period to learn the ropes. Unfortunately, he has chosen to grab the wrong ones on too many occasions.
